bad result really, stavie quiet  all game, may have been thinking about defending the back four but, id have prefered a 1-0

Iceman, why don't you f*ck off and come back when you've got a clue about football

And as for "die hard kopite nugget" what does that make YOU: a diehard BLUESH*TE nugget?  ???

We beat Juventus at Anfield. That is a GREAT result, full stop.

Almost taken the gloss off a great half of football. In all honesty we might well go out in the second leg but u have to see where the club is going, and stevie g must know he has to stay.

Altho i gotta say, i think we'll get a goal at juve and then maybe the fans will shut up over there.

come on u mighty reds!!!!

Not a surprise at all, in fact I mentioned yesterday that this would happen. If Chelsea win 2-1 tonight, see how Fleet Street will praise their mighty performance...

When we beat Laverkusen 3-1 at home, while the so-called Top 3 got bashed, they said the away goal will come back and haunt us in the return leg. When we beat them 3-1 in the return leg, all they focused on was Chelsea's game. It is expencted now no matter what we do, there is always some "faults" to our game. Well us diehard fans know better and I for one don't give a flying toss what they right. Results speaks louder than newspaper reviews.

I can't wait to see Chelsea getting a bashing from a well organised Bayern tonight...

couldn't agree more.

of course if chelsea don't win, the press will harp on about how their "great mentor" mourinho's absence was the main reason for their failure.

to be honest, the press in this country were so far up manure's backsides for years and now the bandwagon has moved on to chelsea. to me, the fact that so many reporters seem willing to have a go at us all the time proves that we must be doing something right. :D

"The travelling Italian fans had not been in a conciliatory mood at all .They were not , it seems ,prepared to play the part that Liverpool ,the club the fans and the city ,had prepared for them .They had  been sulky ,aggressive ,surley : in short ,unforgiving ."

Can't blame them if all that is true ,Heysel is their Hillsborough  .It is however a warning to our fans that are planning to attend the second leg . The welcome we extended to them will not necessarily be returned AND if trouble does flare up you can expect that Liverpool will be blamed for it .    :(

i sort of agree woof but do we do that?
We remember hillsborough and everyone learns from what happened. During hillsborough wed never turn our backs and sticka  finger up like that. I dunno what more liverpool could have done, and i am a lil worried about the away leg now.

Juve will be favourites for the return leg and we may be beaten but I reckon our performances so far in the knock out stages of the competition will have earned us respect and when the top players are looking to England for a move they will be looking at us in a different light.

Hopefully now Gerrard will see the potential we have and with Morientes and Alonzo we have two more world class players for next years campaign.  Things are looking up.

if last night didn't convince stevie that his future lies at this club then i don't know what will. we beat one of the best teams in europe in one of the best atmospheres you could ever wish to play in as a player.

those to$$ers down the bridge can't compare to us. :alien:

That's true man.
Honestly LFC impressed me much more than Chelsea against Barcelona. Much much more.
