Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Dominated both games at Old Tw@tford and Cheating Cu.nts, no goals, no points.

Sh.it, fu.ck and bollox.
Says it all really a dealy finisher was required in the transfer window, lets hope Fowler produces the goods.

Prem scorers.
1 Ruud van Nistelrooy Man Utd 18
2 Thierry Henry Arsenal 14
3 Frank Lampard Chelsea 13
4 Aiyegbeni Yakubu Middlesbrough 12
5 Darren Bent Charlton 11
6 Marlon Harewood West Ham 10
7 Wayne Rooney Man Utd 10
8 Andy Cole Man City 9
9 Brian McBride Fulham 9
10 Ahmed Mido Tottenham 9
11 Henri Camara Wigan 8
12 Hernan Crespo Chelsea 8
13 Didier Drogba Chelsea 7
14 Steven Gerrard Liverpool 7
15 Robbie Keane Tottenham 7

And dont no one give sh.it about Rafa's Valencia goals from all over, this is the prem, you need a goal scorer.

Fact is we need some world class striker who can hold and run with the ball, if you look around all the top clubs have such forwards. Cisse, moro  and crouch all dont fall into this category.

Thats a bit over the top isnt it........We lost to a team costing 200million,we dominated utd the other week.........

We will still finish 2nd.........The lads dont need that kind of fecking support.

I agree with him Phil, we have played 42 games already, we still have to play in the CL, plus catch up on the 2 games in hand.
And knowing our European Hangover from last season I would'nt be suprised.
Also I might add where was Steven Gerrard today? And where does he go to against big teams?

Yes, we need but cash is very limited . There's two ways :

1) Sell one of our very very best player ( SG : 50m  to RM )
or
2) DM sell his share.

I wish some of you would show a more positive attitude towards the team than all going on a downer. I dont see why this loss had ruined our season, we are still on course for 2nd, still in the FA cup and still in the CL, things are still the same.

Im guessing you are all just upset at the moment at the result, hopefully you will get over it soon and see things how they really are

ill tell you what, the majority of you are a bunch ov cum smugglin :censored:!!!!!! we played them of the park the first half and the start of the second, the only problem we have we havnt got a 20+ season goal striker... nuthin much wrong at all....

does my head in we get beat by the champions and every 1 is doom and gloom, iv we had a finisher there today it would ov been diffrent ball game. just baffles me that people can slag the team off, u want to be thankful for what we have,

Were Liverpool football club European champions,

We were never going to win the leauge this year, i no that rafa knows it so dont get ye knikers in a twist over nothink, bellend

Get some realism here people. We controlled most of this game and no team is overshadowing us in the middle of the park. We so need a goal scorer and that cross from Gerrard was just saying knock the ball in but we dont have it yet. Im still convinced even if Robbie doesnt fit the bill we will get the right man next season. With some of the criticism at Rafa you would think he'd been in the job about 3-4 seasons. Chelsea got their goal and were lifted from it because they were second best up till then. We just need more in the wide areas and up front.

Cissé has been top scorer in Ligue 1 for a number of years, Crouch among the top scorers in the Premiership last year and Morientes with Real, but they still can't score. Luckily we got "GOD" who will show them how to score and to play with the heart.

Cissé appeared as if he didn't want to play. Am i the only one who noticed that ?

My thoughts exactly. People get your act together, stop slagging off the team because of one pointless defeat and see the real picture. Things are still looking good

How much money do we usually have during the transfer period? let's just spend all the possible amount we can have during the summer on just 1 striker. Dont think we are that desperatly needed to look for players in other position, our striker department is on crisis at the moment!

when i seen the line up i was really really disapointed and expected nothing from the game,  what is peter crouch going to do all on his own against perhaps the best defence in the world!!!  it was stupid, especially as our recent good run has been playing 4 4 2,  i would have preferred to start with cisse and morientes,  crouch is a good squad player and i think he is a good option for us against teams lower down the league but he just hasnt got the quality we need against the big guns,  and its amazing how much stick cisse and morientes get for not scoring enough goals when they hardly ever play,  we have a settled back 4 and i really we need a settled front 2 as well,  with the rotation kept mainly to the midfield positions
