I really cannot see what he adds to the team at the moment, he's not playing well, played out of position and could understand if some of the reserves get p1ssed off wondering how he get picked week in week out

Wherever he plays he is bad.
For me he has been the biggest flop and KKs persistance with has cost us dearly

Feel sorry for the lad. Needs to play in the centre, not a wide player IMO. Another one where we had our pants pulled down regarding the fee but I'd persevere with him. His young and not playing in his favoured position.

Her gives the ball away frequently, he ishit at tackling, his distribution is awful, he defends pathetically and he gives needless, dangerous (see yesterday) free kicks. He is worse than ineffective, he is is actually more effective for the opposition.
He shouldnt have started yesterday and probably should go in the summer as I think he has a serious psychological block which stops him performing for us

Problem is he has been just as persistent with all of his signings(except Caroll) giving them gametime when they stink game after game.

I actually think he draws unfair criticism as he is not a winger. Play him in the middle in a preferred position then judge him.

Never seen enough of him for Sunderland to form an opinion when he signed, and since hes joined hes played largely out of position on the right.

Hes done ok in patches, two or three good assists, however at the minute he looks a long way short. With him being young it could be a case of development, but a work in progress is not what u expect for player who cost up to 20 million.

Generally im against English signings as they are generally of lower quality, and they get taken apart by technically superior foreigners every 2 years at major tournaments. A Spearing-Henderson midfield up against any half decent foreign club side would get dismantled.

If you are going to buy British it has to be for the rare exceptions who are quality (comparable to top foreigners), its why Wenger very rarely buys British because outside maybe 10 players (if even that) none are good enough. For him technique is king, and thats where the british players come up short. Also the fees for them are inflated which makes signing inferior players for more money even more bizarre. Contrast that with signing Alonso for 11, Macherano for 17... 28 million total for two world class players.

Then you look at the 100 plus million we spent,.. Carroll 35m, Downing 17-20m, Henderson 20m, Adam 9m..... over 80 million on ordinary british players... and the one good signing.. Suarez 22m... a world class player.

25 years ago Kenny was able to buy the rare british exceptions who were quality (Barnes, Beardsley, Aldridge).. not so today. His flaw on the British policy today was that we werent bringing in the rare exceptions.

Jordan Henderson is a good footballer, not worth £16m, but he's certainly a lot better than what he has shown at Liverpool so far.

He put a lot of good through balls and crosses through to the strikers when he was at Sunderland and he scored some good goals at Sunderland too, he just needs to get some confidence, get some goals and assists and we should see a better footballer, but I honestly doubt he'll ever justify his price tag and that will always be used against him by certain supporters.

I think he's just void of confidence and the pressure of playing for a club with expectations like ours has probably gotten to him. He's probably not ready to be playing first team football for a club with such weight of expectation on it as Liverpool. Also playing on the wing when you are not naturally a winger probably doesn't help much either. However, Henderson will need to show a lot more next season (if he's still here) to warrant a future at Anfield. He's been a passenger for much of the season and we cannot afford to be carrying passengers in the team.

As for Arsene Wenger clearly technique wasn't important for Wenger when shelling out £12m on Theo Walcott and clearly technique matters little to Wenger in defence seeing as he's brought in defenders like Cygan, Senderos, Djourou and Squillaci in the past.

As for Alonso being world class when we brought him? Again he was just potential, but at £10m you couldn't really go wrong, he developed into a top class footballer during our stint with us and has continued in the same rich form for Real Madrid. As for Mascherano he developed into a top class footballer for us as well, but I do think you use that word "World class" a little too much. There are two World Class footballers in the world at the moment, their names aren't Alonso or Mascherano.

As for Suarez, again, not really World Class, unless you count someone who continuously hits the post as being World Class?

it's not his fault he cost £16m. at the end of the day he's a good footballer who has a lot of good attributes. good passer, good touch who excels in a pass and move side. unfortunately we've moved so far away from that style of football that he's never going to excel. he'll flourish when the team is playing well but when we're struggling it's not fair on the lad to expect him to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

as for people writing him off saying he's "garbage" or we should sell him that's just nonsense. he's 21, playing in a new team, with new teammates, often in a new system, away from home for the first time in his life. he knows himself that he can do a lot more and he's admitted it. hopefully we'll see that more next season.
