John Aldridge was a great player but he was a poor manager. Fair enough, he got Tranmere into the League Cup final, but after that they collapsed and got relegated.

I see Aldridge a lot commentating on tv and he hasn't got a clue.

As for Strachen playing for UTD, that wouldn't bother me. I simply don't think he's good enough.

Martin O' Neill is my candidate.

Alright if u lot don't want Strachan, what about Gus Hiddink, he is a proven manager and has had success where he has gone, he is a relastic target, because his relationship with the PSV board has become strained after the refused to give him sufficient funds in the summer after he won them the league.

I don't think a former red is the answer. who is the ansewr?

Kevin Keegan, he'll by a new player every month,

Ian Rush, no experience,

Kenny Dagliesh, he just wouldent.
