just seen the pre Southampton press conference, and Rafa said Carson will be on the bench, so looks like Dudek will be starting.

Dudek is a good shot stopper but is too prone to errors.
He has cost us too many points over the last few seasons.

Fairly obvious Jerzy was gonna start today, no way was Rafa gonna throw young Carson in at the first opportunity. Lets face it, you throw a young midfielder in, you got 9 other players to bail him out if he screws up....what if Carson made a mistake in the first few minutes? Let him get to know the lads, build up a rapport in trainin then take that chance.
And no, I dont believe Dudek's days are numbered cuz of Carson. I do think Kirkland's are tho, but mainly due to his injuries.
As LFC#1 says, shame Harrison's gone to Leeds, but its on loan and not a transfer. Ken Bates has got alot to do there, he may not wanna make a goalie his first proper signin so there's still time for the lad to play at Anfield yet.
