Apparently played 33 games last season so not necessarily a sick note. We have been looking at him for a while but now I guess he has value. A complete moneyball signing but that is not always a bad thing. His heat map says he plays on the left more than anything.

Welcome to the best club in the world

Yeah falls into the moneyball category alright   One of the better ones I might add

A good signing imo as long as he isn't crocked. He definitely has the ability to do well here if he can stay fit. Does that and I think he can earn himself a starting spot.

Looking forward to seeing him play and with any luck he will get a few minutes at the weekend. Him coming on and snatching a win would be some debut!!

From what i've read about him he's basically Italy's Luis Diaz, he's never regained top form after a bad cruciate injury a couple of years ago but people are a bit perplexed why this is as he has been regularly  clocked running as fast as ever by one of those speed guns they use. His loss of form doesnt outwardly appear to be down to anything physical.
People have been pointing the finger at his last couple of coaches at Juventus who have been very disciplined and focussed on the tactical side of the game which didnt suit his game at all, with his direct cavalier attacking style he's looked like a square peg in a round hole the last couple of years.
I think we are hoping a change of scenery, a new life in a different country but more importantly playing in a league which is much quicker, less tactical and much more focussed on attacking than Serie A might see the lad regain his old form. At his best he was a world beater, he was the star of the Italy team which won the Euro's. He doesnt turn 27 until next month so this 4 year deal smack bang covers the prime years of his career. For 10 million quid it seems a no brainer, apparently this lad has got skillz to burn, he's the son of a famous Italian footballer and having a few bob growing up his dad sent him to one of those international schools where foreign diplomats, dignitaries and wealthy businessmen send their kids so apparently Frederico speaks English, is thoughtful, intelligent and growing up had mates from every corner of the planet so Italian jorno's dont think he'll have a problem living abroad at all. should be a lot of fun watching him. Welcome to LFC Frederico.

He's actually been half decent last season and managed to play 30+ games, scored 9 goals too. Not the sick note that I thought he's been since his injury actually. He's still 26 so he may even regain his top form with us. I was against signing him but for £10m it's worth the risk. Reading he'll be on high wages though.

In any event, welcome to the club Federico!

It's mostly gong to be about health with this lad. The talent is there, the question is if he'll be another injury prone player who we've had quite a few lately....

I think that is a good analysis, he does seem educated and he does speak English well. A steal for 12 million considering his talent and an absolute no brainer. Great deal by the transfer team. His last two managers didn’t play to his strengths and I feel after watching his interviews that he is ready to breakout. I think his game had plateaued and he needed this move. No doubt that come the rainy cold Liverpool winter he would rather have gone to Barcelona

Was hoping to see him today. Any reason why he wasn’t in the squad?

Fitness isn't the issue with him as he trained at the club through the break. It can only be that Slot feels he needs more time to get to grips with what he wants.

He's a big name player with a big profile so should have at least being on the bench yesterday and it was a mistake by Slot in not doing so.

I cannot see how he could have been worse than Salah.
