Fatigue - Hyypia's mantra

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Q. How do u fight the physical fatigue that creeps in when ur  team has already played 43 games ,the number of games that Tottenham will play in this whole season? ???? ?????
A. Hyypia simply says,"By winning" !!!!!!!
It is quite astonishing that Liverpool have played 43 games already and I think we will play atleast 20-25 games more this season. We keep moaning about the occasional defeats we have suffered this season & giving The Manc's the initiative in the race for 2nd place but TBH I think Liverpool have played & performed at a consistent & good level so far taking into account how early our season began & the :censored: huge no. of games we have played already.
OK there r times when we go over the top on the issue of the striker "crisis" & not finishing off teams. But to be fair we HAVE won a lot of good games this season & the players should be given full support as they are battling a  gruesome & hard long season tolling upto 60-65 games. That's incredible.
Our players look tired at times & as Hyypia says ,by winning we can keep up the mental level that helps fight the physical weariness.
I think the fans can help building up this mental level by encouraging & cheering the team so that the players beleive that the fans trust them.We do have a quality side & its just that we have some tired legs otherwise Liverpool would have been far away from ManU's reach & the gap(15 pts.) between us & Chelsea would have been much narrow.
By the way we will finish 2nd. :buttrock

Good post.

Just learn to paragragh it a bit better. :D

I don't think we'll finish second, but i also don't think there will be much in it between ourselves and United.

Hyypia's right in what he says. The more you win, the better the mental state. You only feel tired when you have mental pressure on you aswell.

the_red_alonso,
that's probably as close as you will get to a compliment from Stu.

Good post, always need reminding of some of the quality games we've won this season that in the past would have been beyond us.

to be honest, we played 63 games in the treble season but i didn't hear anybody moaning about fatigue then. why not? because we were generally winning week in week out. you only ever hear about fatigue when you're losing because it's a perfect excuse for failure.

however i agree that the number of games we have played so far this season is a joke, mainly because the fa didn't have the balls to make the right decision and nominate us for the champions league ahead of the bluesh#te, who everyone knew wouldn't qualify anyway.

when a team wins all they want is the next game, its when the losing streak hits teams that the true rigour and determination has to be shown.

nice post tho, id lvoe it if we got second... but i think id prefer it if we got 1st

Thanx for the compliment Stu.Just wanna share some quality views on the team & club.
I'm TBH jst glad to see the team improving & honestly last May I din't even think of challenging the likes of Chelsea,ManU & Arsenal & I even thought we could'nt play in the European Cup this season.
But things are very positive at the moment & we can finish 2nd still & atleast reach the last 8 of European cup.
Plus the FA cup is also looking promising.
Very excited abt the next 3 games(league-ARS,FA cup-MANU & European Cup-BENFICA).
Now that's what I call football FAIR.....:;):

I think that we'll finish 2nd. We've been going through some difficult moments lately, but i'm confident that we will continue on our winning streak against Arsenal tomorrow.

2nd and the fa cup and a good run at number 6 would be a good season imo.

alot of progress made, some fresh troops needed for the next campian but under this manager we can really challange.

good post mate it is good to see positive fans that aren't blind but can see past the next game to a bright future.
