Happy to see there's not too much travel to the East.

Best to avoid long trips. But Napoli and Bucharest are hardly next door so no doubt Monday night will be prevalent from here on in. Of course how difficult the group is depends on how highly you rate us right now, and that is open to debate. Now Mascherano has gone, and with no sign of us signing a top striker, LB etc then we may struggle as much as we did last season in the CL.

Just beggars belief that there are FORTY-EIGHT teams playing in 12 groups and 12 games per group so 144 games to whittle down 48 to 24 with eight CL drop-outs joining the 'party'.Straight knockout and you'd get that 48 down to 24 with just 1/3 of the games.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Naples are decent with a certain dossena in their ranks. Utrecht is kuyts ex club.
So its Italy, Holland and Romania for our days out

The Champion's League is the same thing.  Is the team that finishes 3rd or 4th in a domestic league a champion?  Its a cup to put in the trophy case.  I'd rather win it than completely dismiss it.

Just come again in Romania ( GHENCEA stadium ) and hope to be a great match. Sorry but this time i need to be with Steaua. Just remember 2003, 1-1 and 1-0 .  but now is another pitch.

Dear all...
I'm a Napoli's supporter and I would give you my "hello" to all you...
...I've a question...when do you think that the tickets of the 04/11 match will be available for sale? Do you think that it's possible to buy them by Internet from Italy?
Thanks a lot for your help!!!

I don't see why you guys don't care.  More than half these games, we don't even have to play our strongest squad and players like Kuyt and Reina could play every other day and be fine.

I just want to win a trophy and rub it in the stupid mancs faces when they come up with nothing this season.  I don't care that it's a lesser trophy, a trophy is a trophy.

I have to say that the teams in this competition are a lot stronger than I thought they'd be. Good opportunity to give reserve players competitive games against strong teams. If we go crazy and play a team of kids most of those teams would batter us.

I'm not saying just play kids, I'm just saying we could sit Torres and Gerrard and be fine.  Joe Cole is like a bullet of energy when he plays, and it doesn't seem like he ever wants to rest.  We have Ngog, and hopefully a new striker as well, we have Lucas and Maxi and Babel if our wingers stay the way they have been playing (Kuyt and Jova starting I mean).

We may not have a deep squad, but it's deep enough for this competition.

Agreed CH. There are some tasty sides in the group stage.

Some in here have been quick to dismiss this competiton as the "Euro Disney Cup" a "Mickey Mouse Cup" etc etc even though there are teams of real european pedigree in it.

Meanwile although the Champions league will always rightly be considered the senior competiton, when you look at the groups, they contain a number of sides who have less quality and pedigree than a number of those who are in the Europa League.

Id say the group we have in the europa cup is tougher than any of Arsenal Manure or Cheatski in the CL... obviosuly its not as good as the CL, but its becomnig a lot more prestigous
