Another good game from the lad yesterday. It could be very important to have him playing well going into the end of the season. Good back up to Aurelio

Doss has played better playing in that position that he has at any other time playing at LB.

Is this the first kid who has made it out of the acadamy and ressies into the 1st team since Warnock?

No, as he didnt come through the acadamy, he was signed for about 1.5 million and went straight into reserves didnt he ?

You might be right there. Still it's nice to see someone from the ressies come into the first team and actually play well.

great little player who will only get better, signed him for 1.5 and imo could go on to be worth 10x that, if we can get a few more in from  the reserves aka nemeth pachecco etc and they do as well as insua it just goes to show were heading in the right direction with our youth set up
if you buy 10 players for around 5-6 million and 2 of them go on to become first team squad members and the rest can be sold for around the same you paid for them or maybe at a profit then its a good deal imo

i think this has always been rafas idea :D

Who was to know Fabio would play so badley? Up until the internationl break he was one of our key players. Against Portsmouth playing out of position he was on the scoresheet and again against Utd with a vital goal. It was just one of those days, unfortunatley the same can be said for almost all our players last night. But next year you can be sure Insua will be in the squad for Europe. I know he is young but I am really happy at the way he has come through. Haven't seen him get stuck in tackling wise but he can hold his own in terms of physical movement in the way he gets forward at times. He's a keeper. If we can add some shooting to his game he will be a monster.

i really dont think we need to look for a leftback, with auerillo and insua we have two very good options imo, auerillo was poor lastnight but as youve mentioned hes been impressive for most of this season, in a way it will help insua progress being number 2 behind him because auerillo is never gonna play 50 60 games a season ans insua will get plenty of game time to develope
as for the shooting thing although he isnt as technically gifted as fabio he does has a great left peg and has hit the woodwork a few times from distance in the reserves

for me if we can get a similar young understudy to arebola on the otherside were sorted at fullback positions
