Ever in my thoughts and in my heart.
Sleep well my red brother, sleep well.

I will be visiting Anfield tomorrow, I will touch Shank's statue in Phil's honour and say a few words to the memorial for him.
Love to you Karen & the family, our thoughts are always with you all.

I remember one year ago how I was staring at the screen with disbelief when I heard the terrible news. I was in shock for some minutes, not reading, not writing, not moving, in shock.

One year later it's still sad to remember that day, but I also feel he's here among us. So are his posts which I read every now and then.

A great man that won't be forgotten. Knowing that man alone and Karen made coming to this boards worthy.

Mis respetos Drummerphil.

Theres a hole in our lives that once was you,
Theres a silence in our ears, that once was you,
Theres a beat in our hearts, that once was you.

But there are memories,in our minds, that still are you,
There is love in our hearts, thats still for you,
There are tears in our eyes, that still fall for you.

And there is a sadness that comes over us, thats because we miss you.

Its been a year, a year today,
and we long to see you everyday,
You are always in the hearts and minds
of those of us you left behind.

Our love and thoughts go out this way to our Phil
who died a year ago today.

Miss you everyday

Mum, Dad, Peter, Michele, Estelle, Val, your family. x

Thank you all again for the support you have all offered to Phil, Karen, the family and their friends during this time, you have all been incredible.

A lovely service remembering a top man.

Phil obviously had many loving people around him, and is no doubt looking on with pride.

The floral tributes from Zara and Supersub were lovely, and the banner Leon provided was the finishing touch.

The people on this forum have obviously made an enduring impression on the Gibson family, and I for one am extremely proud to associate (albeit mainly impersonally) with those members who's gestures have surpassed all expectations.

It is the stuff of legend - an internet forum, brought together by Liverpool FC, linking arms when one of it's members falls.

I salute each and every one of you, and it makes me believe that even in this day and age, there is still evidence of the milk of human kindness.
And who more deserving of that kindness than Phil, Karen, and their children?

Bless you all.

Rest in Peace Phil, mate. Your legend will live on through your family.

And finally to Karen:

Nothing I can say will ease your pain, but your family (including your new In-Laws) obviously care a great deal about you and the kids. Keep them around you - their support will be invaluable.

Your unwaivering dedication to Phil in his months of need have endeared you to me and the many members on here.

God bless you, and if you ever need anything, you know where I and your other 4,500 friends are to be found.

Stay in touch.  :)

I will never forget singing YNWA in the church and carn't listen to it now without floods of tears, but I'll never ever forget or be able to thank you all enough for all the genuine love and support you gave and continue to give to this day.
They say you carn't choose your family but you can choose your friends but there is no greater feeling than being a member of the Newkit Family and believe me one thing I have learnt through this is who are true honest friends.

I agree with Lando " there is still evidence of the milk of human kindness".

you're always welcome here Karen and whenever you want to share a memory of phil or talk about anything....just log on and post a thread.  We'll all join in and have a chin wag   :D

I've just been re-reading Phil's thread and his outlook on life still doesn't fail to amaze me. He was strong through it all and I’m sure you had a large part to play in that. Most of us here have our health, but Phil had true love and not all of us are blessed with that.
