Cure the depression - Odds for next season

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

heres an indication of how far we are falling under foolier at the moment. at William Hill online you can get 34/1 on us winning the Premiership next season. as they are giving one-fifth odds on a top three place I, for one, in the belief that things will improve next season, have placed a substantial sum each way. come on you harbingers of doom, these are ridiculous odds even given our current form so cheer yourselves up and make some easy money. :D

33/1 for us to win next season is am ssive price. They already have it down as a 3 horse race. What they fail to realise is that one year Henry HAS to get an injury (im not saying this out of spite, just teh law of stats and averages) and Man U just dont look as good as they sued to (lets see what happens on sunday!!!)
I just had a bet on us to win teh title with them.. ok so each way. they still have to place though, because you can't eat value ;)

Those are terrible odds. We are 31 points behind Arsenal, with poor players, underperforming players and a bad manager.

LFC to win the league next year? What a joke.

cool :)
Its hard when you work in london and are surrounded by arsenal fans (plus the thousands of chelsea fans that i never knew existed pre-abroomawitch) and all you ever hear is how bad we are.. its even harder when you run out of excuses, because to be honest we really are poor, and its just way too annoying to know the potetial of greatness but not achieve it year after year???

Yep. I am down here as well. What really cheeses me off is the amount of time that Houllier is in the Southern press. He is quoted more frequently than Wenger who simply lets his team do the talking.

He talks about his passion for the club, his wonderful Board, how he is on target to meet his plans. What a complete load of boll##ks. He has turned us into a laughing stock.

I actually sent him a video recording of the Portsmouth-Arsenal Cup game a few weeks ago, after we had failed to beat them for the third time this season.

But Houllier is no longer the problem. Moores and Parry carry much of the blame for where we are by allowing Houllier time to prove his incompetence. It is truly unbelievable.

And what these pillocks seem to fail to realise is that most LFC fans would actually accept zero trophies if we were within say 10 points of Arsenal and that we had some hope of getting close. The reality as we all know is that this side is awful to watch, we have deperately poor players and our manager is a clown. We have absolutely no chance of winning major trophies under the current regime.

I think I'll put a 100 pound on Liverpool.

You never know we might get a great new manager (oneill hopefully) make a few good signings and win the premiership. :)

But Houllier could stay and there goes my 100 pound. :(

Why don't you all give me a £100 and if liverpool win the league I'll repay your winnings. its a sucker bet! bet on Elvis being alive.

A top 3 bet might be possible if one of the big 3 screw up as outside the top 3 theres nothing but s##t.

This is just too unrealistic but say we got O'Neill,Cisse,Mexes or Gallas,VanDerVaart and VanDerMeyde and we had this team with ONeilll as manager.
                      KIRKLAND
                HYYPIA     GALLAS
      FINNAN                         RIISE

                 GERRARD  VANDERVAART
VANDERMEYDE                          KEWELL

                       OWEN    CISSE

with this team we could win the premiership.
