i know this more of a footy related matter and not general chat, but it has more of a chance of not being moved, due to the two or three threads on crouchy.

And i dont have the power to change the title of the thread to a more suited one as this.

he was outstanding last night, did everything but score

I thought he was brilliant... feel sorry for the lad, the pressure is mounting and in some ways he is effecting the whole team as they are all looking to set him up.

He will probably get a real flukey one in the end...the sooner the better I say

Seriously though Crouch played imo tonight his best game for the club.
He held the ball up brilliantly, brought others into play....won virtually every header and was generally a nuisance to the Betis defence every time we attacked.
He ficked on a ball in the second half with the outside of his right foot....that put Gerrard in on the left wing and to me it showed the part of his game that the snipers dont see.
He has such a good touch that not many realise.

The only thing is the goal situation, everyone who says as long as the team gets the result, then who scores the goals doesn't matter is right to an extent...but there are times when his decison making is wrong imo due to his anxiety to open his account.

The sooner his first one goes in the better...he certainly deserved one last night.

I just hope that the rest of the team doesn't squander their own opportunities in order to give crouch a shot. Its goog to have unselfish players but you don't want them going overboard.
