I personally wouldn't keep Kuyt.

I don't think he offers anything like enough to play for a club like this. At least Bellamy offers link up play, pace and the ability to run the channels.

Yeah but Rafa doesnt play a game to suit him if you ask me. Keep kuyt to run around like madman non stop and get an absolute top drawer striker whose sole job it is to get us goals.

I would possibly like to keep bellamy but can see Rafa cashing in, maybe making a mill or two on him. Whilst he will probably keep crouch for that 'something different'

Of the strikers we have, Cisse has to be the first one to go. Never rated him, never will. I'd even take Baros back before having Cisse even sitting on the bench. The next one to go unfortunately would have to be Fowler. He is still our best finisher but time was not kind with him, hopefuly he'll leave us with a champions legue medal around his neck, he deserves it.

Between Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy i'd have a hard time choosing who to keep. I'd be more inclined into keeping Crouch since he is english and there are not many players like him around. Between Kuyt and Bellamy, I'd choose Kuyt since, as Sabre stated on another post, there are several players like him around we could get and Ihave a few fast strikers in mind that could fit in well,such as Carlos Tevez.

Honestly I would keep the last 3 as they each offer something different but with Voronin comming in and probably one more striker, who knows what will happen.

Thing is, as more and more clubs sit deep against us and try and grind out a 0-0 draw, neither striker is going to be particularly effective, as neither will have the space to operate in.

Since Cisse's only attribute is his pace and since he has a poor forist touch, he'd be easily neutralized when teams sit deep.  Bellamy, at least, works to close defenders down when they are on the ball and has the wherewithall to pick out teammates on occasion, even in tight quarters (do you think Cisse would have picked Riise out in the box at the Nou Camp? ).

So, for me, it's also a no-brainer: Bellamy every time out those two.

I agree with Bob, Bellamy has a far better first touch and his control when running with the ball is also better. Cisse has loads of pace to burn but in my opinion he lacks tactical discipline. Bellamy also has a better awareness of surrounding players, as Bob rightly points out, had it been Cisse in the nou camp I envisage the ball being smashed into oblivion, Bellamy was savvy and chose the perfect option by giving it to Riise.

I am really surprised at how close the voting is up to now. This leads me to believe if there had been a third option "get rid of both" it would probably have won by a considerable margin.

I have more confidence in having Cisse be one of our top 4 strikers then Bellers. But we have to keep in mind Cisse was dumped off to Marseille because Rafa didn't want him, if Bellamy stays or goes, I don't think we will see Cisse back at Anfield. If in a slim chance Cisse was to come back, I am sure he would be fully aware this is his last go, and would make a solid attempt to be the player we payed so much for. I could see Rafa bringing him back, using him until the transfer period then selling him off, we won't get for him now and because of Rafa's strong belief in heavy rotation, might not be such a bad idea.

he won't be back...Rafa will loan him out again rather than have him back in the squad after the stuff he said last summer.

I prefer Bellamy, all Cisse could basically do was run and blast the ball nothing else, and like other members on here have already said, Bellamy has a better first touch and works much harder.
However I did like the Psycho face Cisse would make when he celebrated

I'd be more inclined to vote for getting rid of both. I agree 100% with the opinions on Cisse on here being too one dimensional whilst Bellamy is more varied in his play. However with one striker already having been signed I really can't see either of them staying. It's no secret that Cisse isn't the kind of player that Rafa wants and there are stories that Rafa actually tried to cancel the transfer of Cisse when he took over 'cos he just didn't fit into his plans.

The reason I don't see Bellamy staying is purely down to the signing of Voronin. With the number of strikers we have and the need for this true goal getting striker a number of strikers have to be taken off of the books. Kuyt is a clear favourite with Rafa and Crouch brings a height dimension into our play along with a reasonable ability at holding the ball up that I think Rafa likes to have. Along with Voronin that makes 3 strikers and I think even Rafa might just struggle to find a need for 5 strikers.

In my humble opinion, Bellamy's quality and skill are debatable, but not his commitment, and he has proven to be useful at the least.

I'm a bit surprised when I see some "must be off" lists, because their length is similar to the one of clubs like Real Madrid, who are underachieving both Europe and Home and they've got plenty of cups in their history aswell. We are not underachieving, and thus we shouldn't be thinking of making massive cleanings in the squad, as sometimes I seem to understand (not especific posters in mind)

I don't know Bellamy but I think that for a player like him, Welsh, and being from the U.K. for him Liverpool is one of the best if not the best place he can reach to. So I can't think of Bellamy wanting to leave.

In the other  hand it would be unrealistic to get rid of a player after an useful FIRST season, or at least, I'm not used to see that around where I live. Both football-wise, and money-wise (a contract is a contract).

So I say let's keep Bellamy, let's support him, and let's combat the journos that speak badly of him. And let's see what he provides us next season.
