i don't think it would win it but it would certainly go close. there's still question marks over pace at the back.

I believe we`re back! I`m placing my money on Liverpool winning, Chelski second, Gooners third and Newcastle fourth :)

carras the best defender we have imo. he played well all last season after coming back from his broken leg. hes good both in attack and defence. another we cant afford to loose.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

Lookin at it, weve got as good a first team as anyone, its just are squad were a bit short on.....Also i dont expect us to win the league this season although that would great, i just see breakin into the top 3 as are goal this season and closin that outrageous 30 point gap from last season....and hopefully the fa cup for rafas first season
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

I do agree that the squad as of today seems a bit slim, but with Alonso and a right midfielder to add, I think we`ve got what it takes. We`ve got good cover for the strikers, and Finnan showed the other night that he if nescessary could fill in for the right winger as a short term solution. Both Hamann and Biscan would cover on central mid., and we`ve also got Carra to fill gaps in defence (as well as Finnan of course). I also believe that this season could be a break-through for some of our young players :)  Am I allowed to write: I told you so, after Liverpool ends the season as Premiership-winners?  :)  :)

Stop it you guys...I'm getting a hard on!!! God I'd love it if we won the league but I just don't know. I honestly think we'll finish second this year. Second to Chelski I fear. But we will improve for sure and with some investment from Steve Morgan who knows!!

Nope!

i think we'll be lucky to get in the top three, as a degree of 'gelling' has to take place, new tactics etc as some players are not used to attacking!

Also, we'd have to keep pace with Arsenal meaning not loosing many games which is not an easy task!

Not yet Im afraid. Very good first 11 but the guys waiting in the wings are not good enough replacements. Chelsea and Arsenal have quality on the bench. We do not. Playing for 3rd or 4th I think, but with much more flair, and a getting closer to the top two positions.

i think a top 3 place is something we most achieved... but mantaining a top four is a must... as it keeps the club in CPL next season... Rafa must be given time to mould this team... but i have confidence the team will produce and play very well... GO REDS!!!!

We need to strengthen the back as we only have 3 central defenders now (Hyppia, Henchoz & Carra).

If we buy a pacy defender and Alonso (and with a little luck), should be able to do well (ie....win the league).

But one thing is for certain.

WE WILL FINISH ABOVE THE SCUMS. I GUARANTEE. :D
