Benitez v's houlier

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Bermenstein » Wed Nov 02, 2005 1:08 am

Coincidence always seems to throw up some fascinating fixtures in the champions league, and I have a feeling we will meet Houlier's Lyon early in the next Phase. Maybe the 1/4 finals.

Has anybody else had this premonition? Watch this space. Shazam.

Did anyone but me have the thought during tonights game that when we were 1-0 up if houllier had still been in charge he'd have been making defensive substitutions whilst tonight rafa was making some great attacking subs and going for more goals. I say bring on houlliers french pansies!!! :D

we need to somehow labotomize houlier. He knows too much about us to hurt us.
Any labotomists here among us? :D

Seeing as Houllier appears to be the easy target for cheap shots (NOT the Liverpool Way by the way but I suppose a lot of us have forgotten that these days ! ??? ) I'll redress the balance and show the man a little respect as i'm sure Rafa Benitez will should they meet in the later stages.

Rafa will no doubt want to thank GH for buying the 9 players who started the CL Final last May enabling Rafa to enter the Hall of fame at Anfield ???

P.S. Its called "Grace" and it's afforded ANY former servant of Liverpool football Club so lay off Liverpoool's former servants ....

i was thinking the same thing dalglish..
the fact that the club has stabilised after losing their manager and their talisman etc, can only speak volumes about the professionalism of GH. its obvious he is at his most comfortable level now. i for one bear him every respect, for what he achieved here..and the work he is doing in france.
any tie with that outfit will be 'tough' to say the least.

Lyon is easily amongst the five best teams in europe at the moment so I would rather have them meeting Chelsea in the 1/8.

Houllier has always been very good at the "two-legged-tie" set up.
Don't take any team lightly, least of all Lyon.

lyon ain't a dark horse anymore......i reckon they are the best team now in the champ league....They have a good crop of players who will awesome as a team....

But i can't help but think houllier will eventually wreak that team  :p
