Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Petar we are fuking top. You seem to be implying that Man U and Chelsea have been superior this season but they are BELOW us, yes Chelsea may be above after tomorrow but only by a point and it hasn't happened and whether it does we will find out tomorrow
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Greavesie wrote:I don't get what ER has said that warrants all of this. He SUPPORTS this club so defends it. It sounds like you lot want Rafa to go. He's got us top of the league, even if Chelsea win we're a point off, and we've won our champs league group. What more do you want?

Watchable football ?  :buttrock

So you like watchable football? Why not support Arsenal or Madrid or Barca? You're not making much sense, Barns. We haven't played  totally watchable football since Evans, but then again we were dire back then, so did that football matter? Did it f*ck. We'd no balls back then. People slate Rafa for having no balls? I don't understand this, because for the first time in 18 years we have a manager that's instilled a sense of belief in our club.

When I started to follow liverpool they had watchable football Plus I have family from liverpool thats more reasons then you have.

I love the club I even love how we was playing football end of last season but what ever rafa is doing this season or isn't I think the wheels will soon fall off our challange.

Players are starting to look like they think they can't win.

Maybe they will turn a corner , but at this moment in time from what i seen today I doubt it.

Last 30 mins the subs killed the game rafa was happy with draw with a 10 man team that looked poor.

So because you have relatives in Liverpool, that makes you supporting (debatable) Liverpool more valid than me following them for about 24 years? Well, f*ck - you've got me there, Barnsy.

So i followed them around 17 years so what ?

And i never ment you don't have right to follow them.

Any one is welcome to follow any team they like but just because I don't like the way we play football atm don't meen i am any less of a fan then you are.

I pay my money I still cheer them on and wish them the best but I am very fustrated atm and you can't accept that then really take a look in mirror,.

After 18 years not winning the title, I find it beggars belief that anyone can say that winning the league playing mediocre football is any less valid than winning it playing attractive stuff.

I don`t remember any team playing fooball this way and winning the league. Let`s play as bad as we can,so title is guaranteed :buttrock

Chelsea did - twice. Stop posting.

So on one hand you saying I should suport arsenal cos I like free flowing football ?

But you saying you liek fact liverpool now play football like chavski ?

PoT CaLlInG KeTtLe BlAcK ? Maybe ?

Erm, no.

I'm saying if we win the league Chelsea style, or Arsenal style, it makes no difference to me.

hahaha, you think that we will win the league by playing like this? Not only today, last 3 months? are you seriously think that

Petar, if we win the league by playing like "this", then I want you to find something extremely pointy and sharp, and then sit on it.

Rest of game we was dire.

Every f*cking game people expect us to batter teams no matter who they are. In reality, this can never happen. Credit is never given to the opposition. We are always dire. We are always so terrible, and Benitez is always so negative. So negative in fact we're top of the league. I've seen the team have a spine about them this season where we actually have fought our way out of the mire. How the f*ck anyone can condemn the team that they claim to support in the way they do for this is beyond me. I've an idea: let's bring back Houllier and have us pitch a tent outside our own box. Or why not call out Evans and have us play nice attacking football where defending is an afterthought? Or better still, let's bring back Souness. I hear he's up for a job. Some of you moans forget.

I have no clue what the feck have you been sniffing all day...remember a sage used to say "Football is a direct decedent of the Roman gladiator sport. Winner takes it all. Didn't matter if you looked good during the fight if you are dead at the end of it" and now you spit out these rubbish?

Did we even try hard enough to win the game when we have a numerical advantage and the opponent was obviously back tracking? No we cede the advantage and let them come to us...so your're obviously happy that we get the draw, that one point is better than no points right? you're even funnier than Houllier :lookaround

Are some people on here spastics or what? That was an analogy (yeah, Google that one) made by me to explain to a simpleton that having nice and attractive football does not f*cking matter one iota when at the end of the day, if you lose, it means sweet and utter f*ck all. Am I crystal enough on that? Or do I have to go all Socrates again? Some of you c*nts seriously need to get a sense of perspective, and a sense of memory. If you'd been following the club for over 17 years, you'd know what the f*ck I was talking about.

I've supported the club since 1972/73 and I still have no fecking clue what the shyte that came out of your mouth all night...do you think you're the only person here who followed the club for the past 20~30+ years so that permits you to utter your brand of rubbish? Tell me s.hit head are we in danger of losing the game today especially when they lost their main treat up front? should we go into every fecking game from now on playing not to lose instead of going in thinking of nothing but a win? You don't win the league by playing for a draw or is that all you got to start an arguement with me? do your maths you mental retard...3 draws is only as good as one single win. We had too many draws already and that's just not good enough :veryangry

No need to look back to past 17 years...just think about our archilles heel last season...that's right dumbo we drew too many games getit? Am I crystal enough for you @rsewipe?

and it is not even matter of result. It`s about attitude. We should try our best by attacking them from all our weapons. We wanted 1 point. And again,it is not matter of result

Yes, you are right. We should crush all before us for we are the mighty LFC. No team dare put up a test against us. We should steamroll them into the dirt. If we draw, then this is not good enough. Heads should roll. Rafa's balls should be placed on a silver platter for this transgression.

F*cking knobs.

mate, arsenal was 10 men I think they were not dangerous! It would be even harder to them if we attacked them. Mate you should look at the mirror, you said some really strange things. You are thinking in wrong way all the time...

Superfan and LB, edit your quotes to get rid of the pyramid.

And also, I think liverpool should never touch a 4-3-3, ever.

You think Arsenal aren't dangerous even with 10 men? Then you really are clueless.

WTF so having a job allows me to appreciate good football and not need the lub to win trophies, what the hell you on about mate? We all want to see the club successful. I love this club to pieces so wanting trophies goes hand in hand doesnt it? If only I had a job....Oh wait I do!

My point was, you gave your view of football using analogy and so did he. That was all and yet you and Petar are still hanging on it for some reason.

I dont't agree with this part.  I think even though they were down to 10 men, they still had all their defense and all their midfield.  It was like they were playing a single striker with van persie, so they are still just as deadly.  The 10 men didn't make them any weaker defensively, because they didn't lose any defensive players.  It would of if they decided to sit back, but they were going for it, and with clichy and sagna its almost like they had a 6 man midfield.  10 men is an advantage, but I think you have the biggest advantage to score when its a midfielder or defender taken off, we just had the advantage of not being scored on.

That being said, if we would of went forward (which I think we should of been more attacking, but not all out balls to the walls type thing) that it could of been very dangerous.  Van Persies skill and pace is amazing and he only needs half a chance to score a goal.  Was giving carra problems all night.
