Pellegrino is not the long term solution. Spanish players are never good in defense. Just look at their European/World Cup performances.

A country that constantly produces tough defenders is Italy, however it is almost impossible to lure top Italian defenders from Serie A.

Maybe we could try to get a promising Italian youngster?

And we can put Josemi, Pelle, Traore together in defence next season and see how many goals we leak. Lol....

Actually we aren't leaking as many goals. Only Man Utd,Chelsea,and two or three other sides have leaked less goals than we have.

dudek played well for me, if I'm critical of him when he plays poorly then praise needs to be given out when he plays well.

I just wonder if there is poor relations between SG and the rest of the team born out of frustration. I saw an incident on the pitch which made me think of this but do any of the fans that went to the live game have a view on this?

For once we agree on something Turdy, Dudek had a very solid game yesterday and there was pretty much nothing he could've done about the goals. He showed a lot of character by putting in a performance like that

We made a nobody like Peter Crouch look like a class player. 


Luis Garcia simply cannot control the ball and how did Valencia win titles with Pelligrino at the back.  His performance today reminded me of an over the hill Laurent Blanc struggling at United.
