Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If Morientes does go it's not the end of the world is it? Let's face it he hasn't exactly set the world alight with his performances this season has he?

He is undoubted class but hasn't been a pivotal member of the squad in any way, shape or form so far.

I hope he stays because I think he WILL find his feet but it's not a big deal if he goes, as long as we sign a decent replacement

I don't think there'll be as big a cull as some people are predicting.

To go will be:
All players currently loaned out
definitely Smicer
possibly Hamann
possibly Kewell
possibly Nunez
One of Dudek or Kirkland

Morientes and Josemi will both stay. I reckon Mellor, Biscan and Traore will also stay. The only one of our strikers that may leave is Baros, particularly if he carries on talking to the press about his dissatisfaction.

I cannot wait to see who Rafa brings in. I will be sad to see certain players leave if they do go(Dudek, Hamann, Hyypia), but I realise that we need to go forward with optimism, not sentiment. I doubt any of the Spaniards will go, Igor should stay now he's showed us what he can do, Pellegrino will stay on for another season, just for coaching purposes and cover(Damn!!!). I'd rather Hyypia stayed, as he's been one of our most consistant players over the last few years. I really do think we will miss his airial dominance. Whoever comes or goes, I'd like to thank the following players;

Sami Sami. Always a pro, fantastic since we bought you. Utter class.(STAY!!!!)

Jerzy. Fantastic keeper, pity that to*ser Houllier battered your confidence. You were probably the best keeper we've had for over a decade, in your first season. First class saves.

Milan. WHY must you shoot your mouth off all the time!?! You could have been brilliant if you learnt to look up now and then. I guess we'll never see the best of you.

Didi. Class. Sacraficing your attacking instincts to protect the defence so well. Cheers, buddy. (May stay, though!)

Neil. What a goal vs Arsenal!!!! I hope you stay and gain some pace!!!

El. Just p*ss off you grotty little w*nker.

I think if Gerrard was leaving, we would have seen him play yesterday.

Nando is going nowhere!!!

I think Kewell has looked really good in the last couple of games and seems to have settled into a good partnership with Cisse.  I would rather he stayed and we get rid of Baros...

One of the keepers will go as we have (nearly) signed the new spanish wonder goalie (apparently), my money is Dudek will go and Kirkland will stay as 1st reserve.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

apparently doofus to Bolton is a nearly done deal.  Looks like they found the money after all...strange, especially seeing Sam claimed they had no money!  Maybe they looked behind the sofa?  :Oo:

Baros has got to go, I dont think his head is in the right place, its too far up his own ar*e. I think Harry will stay because he worked so hard under Rafa's supervision to get back up to full fitness. If you think about it, and I know it gets said every season, we're only 3 players away from a good side. A centre half, a midfielder and a goalkeeper and we're ok i reckon.
I think Kewell and Didi will stay, all the new signings from last season will stay as well, including Pellegrino (sorry, i just think he will). Smicer, Baros, Le Tallec, Diao, Partridge, Luzi, Vignal, Diarra, Cheyrou & Diouf will all be off.
But I aint got a clue who hes going to bring in!
YNWA. Justice for the 96.
