I do hope it's only because he's injured that he's not playing! God that is

Fowler's got a back injury, that's why he's not playing.

That is because you are an idiot.

You, thehobo and Conno'var are all as thick as the hardback version of the complete works of Shakespeare.

Anyone who says "sell Alonso", is not a Liverpool fan. Simple as that. You don't sell your best player to accomodate a punk with an ego.

Anyone who says "Sack Rafa", needs taking out back and shooting. It's the best thing in the long run. Your suffering must come to an end, you sick, deluded b*stards.
Rafa is the best thing to happen to LFC for over 20 years. Wake up to that fact, and he might stay. Continue your witch-hunt, and he may start thinking "F*ck 'em - I'll go to Real and win everything there instead."
It's judgement time, you a*seholes - I'm telling you right now - carry on like this, and he'll go. And then, you will be responsible for robbing the club of it's second chance.

"Rafa should go unless he starts playing Gerrard in CM" - go and f*ck yourselves. Steven Gerrard, I believe you will find, is EMPLOYED by LFC - he doesn't own the club. He isn't bigger than the club, and if he continues to sulk, he'll get sold, and we'll buy 5 players who WILL play without a childish "I'm taking my ball home" look on their faces, and who WILL bring the title home.

For all his good points, he's like a spoilt brat, and if the choice is "Rafa or Gerrard" as some deluded punks have suggested, well then I sincerly hope Stevie boy gets naffed off in January, and Rafa tightens his grip on the club.

No player is bigger than the club, and despite many of you having a strong desire to climb up Stevie's a*sehole and set up home there, NEITHER IS HE!

He will play wherever Rafa sees fit, and if he refuses or continues his old woman-like interest, he can feck right off. I for one wouldn't be bothered if the mardy son of a bitch never played for us again. He's a disruptive influence who only thinks about himself.
Sooner or later, you'll all wake up to that fact.

This "Alonso vs Gerrard" debate about who should play in CM is a joke. Do you not realise that Gerrard is merely an average Central Midfielder, whereas Alonso is superior in that position? DO you folks not see the subtleties in the game? DO you not see how players are sheperded out of the game by Xabi, so the team can play as it wishes? DO you not understand the job if you can't see tackles/goals flying in?

Gerrard isn't a World-class CM. He is, however, the best right midfielder in the World.

If his ego cannot see that, and your tainted "I love GErrard and want his c*ck up my a*se" viewpoint fails to allow YOU to spot it, may I suggest you all feck off and leave this club in peace? BEcause I'm sick and fecking tired of listening to a bunch of whining dullards professing to know it all, when in actual fact you know F*CK all.

Finally, this "Momo and Gerrard" in CM arguement - it's utter shocking b*llocks.
If Momo was deployed as a holding midfielder, JC and Sami would be continuously dragged out of position to cover the gaps the Mali man would leave tracking upfield to hunt the ball. With Gerrard already straying about the field, we would have MASSIVE holes in the team, which even f*cking Scunthorpe Utd would exploit.
You all p*ss and whine that you want Gerrard to play his "proper game" - well listen up, cretins - you play that system, and the only way we'd avoid a complete battering at the hands of any side in the World, is if Gerrard played the holding roll, and Momo broke up the play. We'd have no drive whatsoever then, and that is just a little indication of what Alonso brings to the side.
He lets us play how WE want. He breaks up wave after wave of attacks, without going to ground - THAT is the sign of a proper holding midfielder. (Oh, and he happens to be the best passer of the ball in World football, aswell - which some of you seem to think is his only "trick" - you blind c*nts.)

Here it is, in a nutshell for all the thick w*nkers on this forum:

Rafa is the boss. He chooses the team. Gerrard is a mardy b*stard with an ego the size of Wales. Sissoko is a battling midfielder, and will never EVER be a holding mid - he will never EVER be Patrick Viera, either.

Oh, and Alonso is our best player bar none. Gerrard would never have scored those 23 goals last season without Xabi doing all of his gimp-work.

Now shove it up your a*ses and stop talking b*llocks.

Yawn..... here we go again.....

Mr. Know-it-all sprouting his "absolutely correct and don't you dare challenge what I'm saying" views again and as usual flavoured with his very colorful vocabulary.....

Maybe it's time you stopped brown-nosing Alonso and get your tongue out of his @rse for good measure...

I like Alonso and selling him would be daft.... (btw... if you'd read my post and understood it, then you'd see that I actually agree with you on that... but obviously not... Apparently when the great Lando gets on the soapbox, all sense of reason disappear)

Rafa has got it wrong this season..... I'd like to see you quote an instance when he'd tactically outmanouvered the big 3 clubs in the league since he's taken over.... to the best of my knowledge, his record stands as such.....

1. 2006-2007... 2 games played, 2 games lost
2. 2005-2006 ... 6 games played, 1 win (Arsenal), 1 draw (ManU) and 4 losses including a 4-1 thrashing to Chelsea.
3. 2004-2005 ...  6 games played, 1 win (Arsenal) and 5 losses.

Thats a total of 2 wins, 1 draw and ELEVEN losses (in the league) to the big three since Rafa has taken over....

That's quite a sterling record eh Lando?

Wake up and smell the coffee, child....
it's been 2.24 seasons since Rafa has taken over the management of the club, the honeymoon's over.....

One instance, Lando.... just quote one case when Rafa's outstanding tactical nous has won us a big game..... and you can forget Istanbul.... that wasn't Rafa's doing..... that was Stevie and Didi's doing....

Well?

Don't condescend to me, c*nt.

I never said you were wanting Alonso to go.

You DID however, insinuate that you wanted Rafa to leave, you f*cking plum.

One instance, eh? One instance, you thick b*stard?

OK - here goes:

Champions' League Semi Final victory over Sh*tski. Two-legged game, resulting in a win for LFC.

Now, I can go on - Last season's FA Cup win over the Manc scum. Tactics, pal.

Or how about the FA Cup Semi Final victory over Sh*tski?

You f*cking pudding.

Oh, and not forgetting the 2-1 win over Arsenal when we had about 15 players out injured.

Juventus, Beyer Leverkuson, Olympiacos, Sh*tski in the group stages last season, Deportivo La Coruna, Monaco, etc, etc, etc.

You must have the memory of a plate of chips. (Oh, actually - you only started supporting LFC AFTER the win in Istanbul, didn't you, sh*thead?)

Saying "don't say Istanbul..." is a load of old sh*te aswell - did he not manage the team that day? It seems with c*cksuckers like you, the team only wins because of Gerrard, and only loses because of Rafa. You arthritic tailbone.

No, you're absolutely right - he doesn't know anything about tactics, does he? It was all Steven Gerrard's doing that got us the most coveted prize in club football. It was all his doing that we won the FA Cup. It was all Rafa's doing that we ever lost at all.

You f*cking fruit.

Sh*tski beat us at Shatford Bridge this season, but we beat them in the Community Sheild. We have a cup - they don't. Say what you want, but the fact is we've beaten them in every cup competition bar the Carling Cup.

Stick it up your a*se you festering faggot.

Now - wake up to the fact that Alonso is our best player, you thick c*nt. He doesn't sulk. He doesn't hold the club to ransom. He is by far our most technical player.

And for your information, you piece of filth, Robbie Fowler is my favourite player by miles, so just where you get your half-c*cked notion that I'm "brown-nosing" Xabi is between you and a box of kleenex.

Now go away, you sad, clueless pr*ck.

Without throwing profanity every second word I'd like to add my two cents.

1. Selling Alonso is stupid. He is the best holding midfielder in the world IMO. He doesn't slide tackle much but he tackles efficiently - usually keeping possession instead of just kicking it to random space.

2. Gerrard is a World Class player who can exceed in almost any position on the field. However he needs the right players around him - Sissoko does not fit this mould. Alonso in theory would - but Gerrard does not get the most of Alonso.

3. Alonso and Gerrard are our two most important players. To utilize both to their ability, we need alonso in the middle, Sissoko harrassing all around him to give him space, and Gerrard coming from -whether its deep and wide, or more central is up to Rafa.

4. Rafa is the manager and must be supported. Canno'var, you showed stats against the big teams in the league - but if memory serves me correct, a lot of the losses we were "unlucky". Now results do count, but the same performance on another day we probably would win comfortably.

5. IMO Rafa has the tactics down pat; however, he does lack some motivational skills. In the past season, I think Stevie and Carra provided this motivation from their leadership on the field. But since they are both down and out atm, we see a lack of motivation from the team as a whole because the leadership qualities have gone AWOL.

As a side note, I think the absence of Kewell may be affecting Gerrard's performance. Only Luis Garcia can play on both wings (but he is not an effective wide player I think) and switch numerous times midgame with Gerrard. The switching of flanks allows Gerrard to come in centrally whilst in transition and that is where a lot of goals came from last season - when he is moving from the right to left and vice versa. If it is not totally mental problem with our captain, I think it is that he is not 'drifting' between the flanks as much, or as effectively as last season as he did with Kewell.

I'm a bit lost tho when it's mentioned that Gerrards rumours about his private life might be affecting him??? What bloody rumours anyone? Not thinking of going to Chelski again I hope! As for Alonso yes he is class but I don't believe he's playing to the standards that he set last season.

Apparantly a video involving his bint is knocking about.

It's a naughty one, so you can understand why he's f*cked up if it's true.

Im glad to see Lando and ConnO'var have finally announced their engagement and I look forward to the pictures of their wedding. I have heard that the happy couple will soon be blessed with the patter of tiny feet. Guests will include Xabi Alonso (Lando's bum chum) and Rafa Benitez (ConnO'var's one time lover but who now seems to have become odd man out.)  :D

Great post Lando you had me in stitches with the arthritic tailbone insult.

Supposedly the pictures/ video, are of Alex before they met. Gerrard has kicked Alex out of the house because of her continued association with some gangster named "pancake" from Kirkdale(?), and there now appears to be doubts over the father of the child.

Gerrard first had suspicions when Alex named their daughter syrup :)

All this must be true because I read it on the internet!!!!

like i said lando it's my opinion and thst's what i thought this forum was all about not for a small dick big ego :censored: like you to jump on people who actually have an opinion different to yours.

I've never said that rafa should be sacked and on another thread i've actuallu supported the rotation this season as i think it's good experiance for the new players in the team

BUT for you to say that gerrard is not a world class CM is utter tripe and that's not my opinion that's the opinion of alot of people within the game and on here. As for alonso being better than gerrard when has alonso scored a last minute goal to take us through and onto the UCL or 2 goals in the FA Cup final to win us the cup virtually on his own? ?????

NEVER obviously stevie has turned you down sometime in your life but get over it.

question: when does gerrard look his best???

Answer: when hes powering through the middle and latching onto the knock downs or running at the defense. Not running down the wing and crossing the ball. Although he is one of the best in the world at delivering a ball into the box.
