Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I was looking for the other Klopp thread but I cant find it so this will do.
I wasnt going to talk about his best 11 but its very apt to discuss the issue after last nights defeat.  I am stilll fuming and upset at his team selection against one of the quickest and most skillful teams in europe. To put out the 3 midfielders together was simply ridiculous and my heart sank when I saw the team sheet. Im sure PSG rubbed their hands with glee once they realised who their opposition was in the middle of the park. Wijnaldum is a decent player, Milner is solid and dependable and Henderson has nice hair. But not one of these three is good enough to stamp their authority or create the chances we needed last night. It shows our managers stubbornness and delusion if he thought for one minute that they would have a positive effect on this game. I am starting to lose my faith, simply because he is making the same mistakes again and again. Why not play Keita from the start if he was fit? Why not play Shaquiri if he was fit? Wheres Fabinho?? Did he really think that those three midfielders he picked were a match, or even superior to the opposition we faced? Henderson was embarrassingly slow and bypassed time after time by PSG. It looked like a pensioner being teased by young tormenters and was painful to watch. If the managers loyalty means he plays inferior players in such important games then we are well and truly fu'cked. I am honestly shocked that he cant see it or refuses to acknowledge it.
Like someone said, Henderson must be pulling up trees in training because surely he's not there based on his performances in real matches?

Apologies to Thommo and the rest of you Lads

During a clean up of a lot of spam posted to the forum we had a hiccup and lost the original Klopp thread

Trying to recover it but in the meantime stick your Klopp related posts in here   :)

I think he will get some sort of punishment for running on the pitch, I get the emotion but you can’t have that. Hopefully not a  ban but a fine. I’d say he would say fair cop and accept it gladly.

It’s his job - to win every single match , it’s what the club pays him money to do just like every single manager in the game

Don’t think anyone ever goes out to “not win”

Unless you have something that suggests otherwise

Do you not think that managers prioritise certain competitions? They feel that some are more important than others?

Now that’s different from “not wanting to win” isn’t it

The FA Cup will be behind the league and CL in terms of priority but that doesn’t mean the manager won’t still try and win it
