I suspect that if he played an important role from this point forward until the end of the season, and played well that he would be put into the Italian squad.

How convenient....

I don't think he is ready for 2 games in a week never mind 3. I can see him missing Lille and Man Utd.

I agree, from outside I have a different perspective, and I think sometimes the Liverpool fans do not realise what Liverpool means outside England.

Perhaps because of the SKY manc shower, or other reasons, sometimes I feel as if people forget the name Liverpool has. Not talking about Rafa, but about the reputation of the club. That's why I felt so wound up when I started reading the input of English press a few years back and I read about the "top 3". Top 3 without Liverpool? the club that has given more european titles to England than all the rest together?

Liverpool is the kind of club that gives you keys to the important national squads.

The Luis Garcias, the Rieras, the Arbeloas, could have never dreamt of being internationals if they had stayed in Deportivo de la COruña, in Espanyol, or in Atletico de Madrid.

Liverpool has that reputation and if by any chance Aquilani makes a wonderful end of season I'd put some money that he'd be in the World Cup.

Doubt he will play tomorrow but he should play some part on Sunday. If Rafa is not going to play him just because we have done ok in recent times against them with Lucas then that's a bit silly imo. It's not like we are going for the title anyway, play the lad give him a chance! If he has recovered by then that is.

No mate we shouldnt play him at all
Hes sh'ite. Lucas is better.
If Rafa had any brain he would fu'ck Aquilani off and not even put him on the bench for the rest of the season. Lucas and Kuyt are the most creative and talented players weve got. They should start every game if we want to win.

(just trying a bit of reverse psychology on Rafa. We know how he likes to go against popular, rational thinking)
