Too freaking hot - Weather

I was moaning a few months ago that my downstairs refrigerator had basically died and so I'd store my beer outside and it would freeze.  We had a bit of cold weather where it was 5 F (-15 C).

Well now I'm going to moan about the complete opposite.  The last couple of days it's been in the upper 90's (34-35C) and it is expected to get up to 99/100 (37C) for the entire week coming up.

We haven't had any decent rain in weeks, lawns are looking like straw patches, wild fires will probably break out soon.  It is just overbearing right now.

I just went outside and it's 81(27) and it's 1 oclock in the morning.  Crazy Hot here right now.

Its been 30C to 40C here for over ten days the house is boiling its horrible, it was 32C in the house the other day, the fan blows warm wind in your face and as soon as you get out the shower dry off your soaking wet again  I have one airco but thats in the bedroom. Seriously need to invest in a proper one, but you can never guarentee that we will have a summer.

In 10 days im going to the oven Dubai it was 53C on the beach thermometre a few days ago  :Oo:

Laz, I think we'll have to rehash this thread in January when I can call you a sunbaking whatever it was you said LOL

And Cig, no offense sweetie, but if you go to Dubai in the middle of summer, I don't think you should be allowed to complain that it's too hot :p

Wilco GY and I shall call you a frozen mammoth malcontent

CGGY I was in Dubai last June on my way to Europe and that heat was worst I had ever experienced

Two day stopever was enough, I much preferred the Dutch summer

its been between 27 and 30 degrees here (gijon) for the last few days and for me that's just about perfect. when i lived in barcelona the months of july and august were pretty much a constant 32 to 35 degrees and very very humid. it was just like lynds says - you have a shower but as soon as you get out your just covered in sweat again. you can't do anything at all during the day and you can't sleep at night.

i've known 40 degrees of wet heat in the tropics and 42 degrees of dry heat in madrid and neither are much fun. i'll stick to my nice slightly rainy but pleasantly warm atlantic climate.

And of course, it wouldn't be the college experience if your new brunswick house had air conditioning.  Cant wait for fall
