Wolverine let me down, on the other hand Star Trek is one amazing film. 10/10 for that and 6/10 for Wolverine.  I never followed star trek but the movie was a great watch.

Just back from Star Trek and it was fantastic.  I have followed Trek all my life and I thought they did an amazing job of staying true to the characters without turning it into a caricature.  Zachary Quinto as Spock is especially good and even Simon Pegg as Scottie--a casting decision I was very skeptical about--worked well.  Good story, too, and amazing effects.  A perfect way to spend a Saturday...watch the lads stomp on West Ham and then off to the cinema to watch a glorious franchise reinvigorated with a new conceptualization.  :buttrock

As soon as I heard that line where Angelina Jolie is moaning "I want my son back" I thought nah she can't act for :censored:. Feck that.  :D

I want to see the new Star Trek film. I was never a Star Trek fan anyway but this one looks cool.

Surprised by that Bav, been leant the film by a mate who's normally a good critic.
He said her acting was very good in that.

Haven't watched it yet.

Not really a sci-fi fan apart from the original star wars (from when i was a kid) but the missus really loves all stuff like this so will probably go to watch the new Star Trek film.

Is it good for non trekkies like ??

Definitely, mate.  I've heard a lot of reports that lots of people who were never into Trek dug this one.  It's just a good sci-fi action film, full stop.

Thoroughly enjoyed the new Star Trek movie, imo  it's the best of the whole series. The "young" Spock was brilliantly portrayed and I also got a laugh seeing Harold from "Harold an Kumar get the Munchies" playing Mr Sulu  :D

Deffo worth a watch 8/10

Saw Angels and Demons last night and enjoyed it.  It drops a lot of the puzzling out in favour of the frantic-race-against-the-clock suspense angle but it's still well done.  Oh, and that Ayalet Zurer is a fine, fine woman. :;):

Watched a movie from Spain called King of the Hill

A couple of motorists are pursued by a sniper in the hills are getting lost.

Good little flick , simple but very effective thriller
