Ha ha.

Unless Robert Anton Wilson is 250 years old!

Andy you're either talking sh!t, Lakes style, Or you are unaware that the illuminati was spoken of as early as 1776. Their roots were a genuine threat to the Catholic Church, conspiracy theoristsmaintain they still survive today.

no mate. i'm fully aware of the bavarians in the late 18th century - and the book also takes that as the seed of the fiction - but they we're banned and driven underground after about 10 years. its exactly that fact that they we're banned and no one knows if they kept on or not that makes it such perfect conspiracy theory material.

all the bavarian illuminati were was a localised version of the freemasons. its the robert anton wilson work (and other associated cultural references) that has led to the illuminati appearing in modern times as some secretive and all powerful international new world order.

Not so sure

As a youngster listening to a bit of the Clash, Jam, then Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. I normally went out firebombed a Police station, perform a satanical sacrifice as a tribute to the Prince of Darkness  and then committed suicide every friday night.

Mind you trying telling that to kids today and they just dont believe you  :D

Mmmm. To say I'm sceptical is an understatement. Just looked up this Wilson guy, clearly a fruit cake conspiracy theorist. And probably best mates with David Icke.

Also it is a myth that Jay-Z uses the pyramid symbol in performances. The shape he makes with his hands symbolise a diamond - his own brand is called Roc-a-fella, Roc = the diamond. He's just celebrating being rich.

depends what you mean by fruit cake, mate. he was just an author and a playwright. he wasn't so much a conspiracy theorist but someone who wrote about conspiracy theories as well hypnosis, religion, politics and culture in his numerous studies about our true perception of reality. in fact i'd say he was the exact opposite of a conspiracy theorist as the central message of his work was that the most important thing for any individual to do is to take a good hard look at reality and form your own assessment of the nature of things while trying to avoid any kind of religious, political or social brainwashing. i don't think there was necessarily any connection with david icke either as they wrote and thought about completely different things.

what exactly is it that you are sceptical about? that the illuminati doesn't really exist, or that wilson created a huge work of fiction that gave them a presence in popular culture?

Because his work of fiction clearly had undertones of belief from his part. He wouldn't write so much about the subject otherwise. I get the impression his works are an expose.

his works are an expose in one sense, you are right. what he is exposing though, is that certain powers that be - in politics, in media, in culture -  are constantly trying to pull the wool over our eyes and the best thing for us to do is to make an effort to see clearly and think for ourselves.

he has works of non-fiction where he writes a lot more clearly about all this stuff.

Are they gangsta wannabees, jeans hanging off their :censored: so we can see the boxers they wear and that retarded rolled up leg thing.

I've never met anyone that listens to rap and would burst my hole laughing if somebody said they were into it.

The most talentless music I ever heard, no instruments, don't sing, just talk about money or girls or pretend your are hard.
