We also had an outside toilet , with a nail on the inside of the door with the echo ripped up into nice squares hanging from it. No bog roll in our house , talk about ring sting.

  me grandma's bog was exactly like that. Pitch black, Cold and not the kind of place to be hangin' round in. You'd come out of it with either one of the following symptoms:

Severe Paranoia cos you couldnt see the corners behind the khazi that no doubt hid the biggest f**k off spider behind it - the one making that rustling noise!

ah the outside bog, my nanas hous in tuebrook had the outsie bog (as well as an inside one). she also used to have a mangle in the back yard.

does anyone remember the wash house near liverpools ground, she used to go there and do the laundry, proper hot steamy place it was, i think there was also baths there (not swimming baths, just a bath where you could get clean.)
