obviously not a womens pole vaulting fan

ps - love the meh, great usage

EVERYONE should be a women's pole vaulting fan now

the the cross country ski and shoot event is called the biathlon. Very difficult and strategic because its all about being able to ski fast but while keeping your heart rate down so that you can shoot accurately, I think its iinteresting and watch it when the olympics come round, same with curling which is also heavy on strategy and short track speed  skating.

Erm, I just pole vaulted myself there when I seen that.

Surprised to see darts mentioned as much, I like watching it, what I like is the people playing, they hone there bodies through weeks of rigorous training (13 pints of beer, 2 packs of peanuts) before entertaining the world ! Not surprised to see cricket, dull as anything, you cant watch it to try nod off to sleep, its that dull you just go in a brain dead trance, as some people in the crowd applaud it !

Also agree with the baseball one, rounders is better !
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

"The men captured the first Olympic curling medal in U.S. history. And the sport, at least at the Olympic level, was invaded by its first streaker.

Clearly curling has arrived."

Image

Mark Roberts starts off his streaking year with a brisk prance across the ice at the Winter Olympics Curling event in Italy. At a lull in the proceedings of the USA / UK bronze medal playoffs, Mark provided some unscheduled entertainment with his rubber chicken for the audience which included the Olympics president. His clothes pegs earrings, hanky-cap and marigold rubber gloves were a tribute to all the unsung "cleaners-cum-caretakers in brown coats" heroes who brush the ice directly in front of the hurled stone.
