Sorry to start a thread for this but wtf .

I'm downloading some movies from Torrent Spy (Hostel and The Hills have eye's 2006   :)  ) It's taking ages and my pc is now really slow when accessing other things , this forum for example is taking ages to move from one thread to another . I've run avast anti virus and spybot and my pc is clean . Is the snails pace of my pc due to my currently active downloading from Torrent Spy ?

More than likely.  It happens to me as well on my PC when I'm using BitComet, nothing to worry about as far as i'm concerned, Woof.

That's normal woof. Not that they are very computer resources demanding, but those programs have multiple connections with houndreds of peers (sources). And since there's a limit in your computer, when the browser asks for a new single connection (i.e. change the thread) it takes a while to be granted and you notice it.

Those programs, can configure the amount of connections, in the setup part of it, if you lowered the number, you'd get a smoother surfing, but probably less download rate.

I think there are some clients that allow you to change this with a simple control (faster / slower surfing)

But defo nothing to worry about.
