Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

The whole situation ( created by Suarez ) needs sorting sooner or later.

If Suarez is so happy at the club then through the media that he keeps speaking too ( that is apparently making his life hell ) come out and categorically state he isn't going anywhere ( just like the club have said ).

He is feeding the media all the info they need.

Either he needs to shut up or put in a transfer request.

Does anyone know if Madrid are actually interested?  I've seen Suarez say his piece.
Madrid seemed a lot more interested in Neymar and now Bale.
In relation to Suarez, Ive only heard them say that he is a good player but sometimes it doesn't fit.

Still fairly certain he'll leave like.  Just haven't heard the usual sort of "We'd love him here" talk.

I think they are concentrating on Bale and doing the talking about that. They don't really need to say anything about Madrid - Suarez is doing enough talking for them. I expect Madrid have said something to his agent about interest. I think once Cavani moves then the ball will start rolling

Dave whelan and suarez are a double act.  they both love chelping off to the media however I'm sceptical that what has been published is actually what has been said.  not denying he's had his head turned by real but i think once he gets back to England and draws a line under the whole thing one way or another we are left ***** in the wind.  not really knowing what's happening.  i don't trust the media one iota.

f##king hell thommo lad, how plain does he have to make it before you believe he wants out?
even when they are desperate to leave players are usually non comittal and play it cagey, they are like politicians, when they say something like `at this point i`m just concentrating on my football` that really means `see you suckers i`m outta here`.
by footballs standards suarez is marching up and down with a brass band and a 40 foot banner with the words ` i want f##king out` written on it in big massive letters.
as far as i`m concerned he`s already gone, get the money and invest every penny of it in two £20m+ attacking players (like mkhitaryan and muriel or erikssen) then get the carroll money and spend it on papadopolous.
if we lose suarez but bring in three £20m+ starting XI type signings to replace him imo we have lost the battle but won the war, yes we will have lost our best player and top scorer but overall team will be stronger.

The media are twisting his words, no question about it. But the only thing they're doing is making him sound like more of a disrespectful kunt than he really is. His desire to leave though, is real IMO.

You misunderstand me. I am not disputing that by the words Suarez is saying that he wants out. If they are a true translation then I would have to have brains as small as Benny the Beauts to deny it. What I am not convinced about is that he wants to go to Madrid. He was asked about Madrid and he answered. He has also mentioned Barcelona, so is he going there as well? However, what I am convinced of is that he feels he has been badly treated not only by the british press, but also the fa, politicians and the people of this country. A fact Im sure nobody in their right mind would deny?
I am disappointed and saddened that he feels this way, but I dont really blame him for being honest. What I am not pleased with is that it makes us look stupid, weak and mediocre and, like Rodgers, I wish he wouldnt sing like a canary as soon as someone puts a microphone in front of him.
The sooner he gets back and this is sorted one way or the other, the better.

You have just been sucked in by his reasons for leaving

At first it was all about the "media and FA" and that's the reason why he wants to leave despite stating that the media didnt bother him

As he keeps opening his mouth it's clearer that he wants to go because he wants to play for the biggest club in the world ( in his eyes ) and play in the biggest club comp in the world.

He is trying to deflect the blame onto the media and blaming them for him wanting to go when it's clear to me it's because he wants success and to play in the top comp with a top team ( something he can't do with us ) .

That's fine Thommo - you can ignore it

But maybe accepting the reasons why might give the owners the kick they need to really get us improving to ensure that we don't lose players because we aren't in the CL. It's a real problem and if its not sorted then Coutinho will be next and it will be the danger for any of our top players.
