Suarez was given the chance to appeal - it was his choice and he decided against.

What would be the point of an appeal apart from to get more games added on.

Let's not kid ourselves  in believing that he would more than likely been advised not to appeal.

What's 2 extra games on top of f.ucking 10? Go the whole hog, at least stand-up for your principles if nothing else. Challenge the dictatorship that is the FA.

it wouldnt surprise me if suarez didnt want to appeal incase he leaves, the ban will be down to 6 games by the start of next season, maybe he doesnt want to lumber his next club with a situation where they are without him for 10 or so games.

I actually think it may be exactly the opposite.  If he leaves, it won't be to another English club, and the FA have absolutely no say over his ban being held out in another country.  If he were to leave it would be to a top club who are a lot like united in England- their FA's just want to make them happy because of the money they bring to the league.  If he went to Bayern, he would start the first game of the season, I'm sure of it.

With that said, the fact that he's deciding not to appeal says to me that he doesn't want to miss any more games with us.  If he were leaving he'd at least want to try and "clear his name" in a sense of at least getting a lesser ban.  He'd have nothing to lose.

That's how I see it I guess.  But you never know with this guy.

When did she call Mandela a terrorist, was it when he actually was convicted as a terrorist, or afterwards? i find it a bit weird then that Mandela sent a representative to her funeral, obviously he didn't bear her a grudge, like the Saddam Hussein loving Galloway did. Her support of Pinochet was extremely dodgy though. Overall I still consider her the best prime minister since Churchill/Atlee. What she did to the unions was absolutely necessary, as the unions were keeping the whole country to ransom with strike after pointless strike. The mines were quite simply unprofitable, being funded by the taxpayer year after year by Labour and that couldn't continue especially since the country was effectively bankrupt in 1979 when she came to power, much as it was when the Tories came to power this time. The sayin gtstill holds true Labout f*ck up the economy and then the Tories come in to fix it, time after time after time.
BTW I am educated ;-)

go and look in the thatcher thread, we`ve been through all that, including the bit how new labour carried on thatchers financial idea`s, if it wasnt for socialism (i.e the public bailing out the banks) we`d all be living in a world like mad max now. thats thatcherism for you.
anyway this isnt the thread.
btw hussein was another one of those pinochet/pol pot/suharto type dictators who were thatchers buddies, we armed him to the teeth during the iran/iraq war.

Bartons ban carried over to France just as Suarez's ban carried over to us when we bought him

I believe he should have appealed it because it wouldnt have stood up to scrutiny. The media is already on to how unfair and ridiculous the 10 match ban is and Im sure they would have said more if the ban was extended. Anyway the FA and all their gobsh'ite, ar'selicking supporters who wanted more than a 3 match ban can sleep well knowing that they got their man, again. Although rehabilitation or deterrent wasnt mentioned whatsoever, lets hope he and the club learn from this so that he stays well away from those wicked evil cu'nts in the future.
Fu'ck the FA by the way

Read this and you will see that an appeal would have been fruitless and it's clear why Suarez didnt appeal when you read exactly what he admitted

Yes, yes all nice and neat and covers all bases. They have used the phrase "truly exceptional" so many times, except it isnt, is it?
Load of Sh*t and typical punishment mentality. You must admire the way theyve stitched him up. And before you start with your "Suarez is to blame" mantra just remember they had a choice how to handle this and came from the point of view of the most bans and the most damage they could do to prove their point.
Think this is my favourite part:
"We agreed that there was no evidence of injury and we did not see Mr Ivanovic crying out. However, we accepted the remaining points from both sides and believed that Mr Ivanovic was shocked, surprised and suffered some pain as a result."

Spiteful, wicked, biased and pathetic
Fu'ck the FA and their supporters
