I agree.  Myself and one of my best friends were like that on the ice when we played hockey together.  You'd never know it from seeing how we were towards each other on the ice but we got on just fine off the ice.  Hell he's my middle child's godfather.  It's just looking to get the best out of your teamates.  Demanding more.  might look a bit off from an outsider's view, but in the ranks I'm sure all is well.

I have no doubt Suarez will be the next kop idol if he's not already one. But football today is all about glory and money. There's no such thing as club loyalty anymore esp. foreign players. They leave their hometown club to a foreign club where they may not even speak the language all for money and glory. If that club cannot provide it, they will ask to leave, Nando, Mascherano were classic examples. In a way I don't blame them because football today has become so money minded not like what it was in the 80s and prior to that.

So to keep their top players, every club is under pressure for a top 4 finish every season. If we don't achieve this, Suarez I'm sure will do a Torres. However, that is still all right if we sell him for 80 million.

If we can make a massive profit from each foriegn player who comes through, hey that's ok!

I don't want to think about player loyalties right now, I just want to re-watch that amazing Suarez goal!  A new kop legend in the making :buttrock

This Kid is Quality Fernando who..... he'll never score again lmao

Heard this today and thought it was great!:

Fernando’s proved he’s not a red, Torres, Torres,
The moneys gone straight to his head, Torres, Torres,
Sod off to chelsea and ruin your life,
I hope John Terry shags your wife,
Fernando Torres, judas in disguise

Lovin' this lad, just pure quality. You can tell teams fear us with Suarez not only because he can score but also he can create chances as well.

I think it's good to have a bit of edge between team mates, keeps everyone on their toes I reckon.

We needed someone with a bit of fight in them.  With Suarez and Carroll we've now added two.  It will be a massive plus in away games like today when you need to stand up for yourselves or you'll get walked over.

On the mouthing off to the ref though I completely agree with you, he needs to learn to keep it shut.  So do Lucas and Agger for that matter, they are the worst ones for it in our team.

I can see what you're getting at, I guess it's just not how things have worked for me personally.  When I played, a few times as a captain at that, I wanted to make sure our team got along well.  You can get on at your players but not jump around and throw a bit of a hissy fit when you don't get the ball passed to you.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the guy.  He's been fantastic for us, but what I've seen is that when players start to get on to each other like that, if they don't keep it in check the team falls apart in the middle of the game.

I just hope he cools it.  Against the refs is obvious, but you can't get on your players too much.

Some people call it passion.  Well I'm very passionate, but I don't take my passion out on people, I take it out on objects.  Just look at some of my walls, broken lamps and windows etc..

brilliant again today, fast becoming the starman in our team.
we really need to sign some quality players to compliment and take the pressure off him.he will be a player every club we play will try to stifle and keep him quiet so we need more matchwinners to ease the burden.

hope his injury doesent turn out to be serious and he returns after the internationals picking up where he left off.

With all the passion he shows you can see how he bit another player :D

A handful for his managers no doubt.

Kenny didn't seem worried about him in the post- match conference. Said he felt some stiffness in his groin muscle and was taken off as a precaution.

Think he's fine.
