First time on here since Sunday and my excitement has not waned about this little guy now I have sobered up. This guy looks the real deal and looks like he can/will offer an awful lot more than Torres did for the past 18-24 months. He looks hungry, more of a team player and able to play in far more positions across the front line than Torres.

This guy has the potential to be an absolute gem for LFC. :D

I watched the replay of the game and I realized that Suarez wasn't only the best player offensively, but he stole the ball a ridiculous amount of times when manure had it.  He would track back a little bit then just sneak in when they moved the ball, or even when they played from the back his pressure made them constantly lose the ball, either to him or to other players.

Just goes to show that if we needed him to, he could play left wing as well.

I am lost for adjective words to describe Suarez skills against the old enemy. He did show flashes of his genius with the ball against Wigan and W.Ham but against the scums, he played like Maradona in World Cup '86.

Football today however is not like 3 or 4 decades ago where most teams had their own star players. Today's star players do not play for mid or lower half table position clubs. They demand CL football, insane weekly salary and trophies. Yes they are very mercenaric, especially foreign players eg Torres, Mascherano.

Sad to say it's mostly about money now. Whichever club that can offer the big big money, CL football then they will stay otherwise they're gone. I think Pepe will want to go in the summer. So Liverpool must improve their league standings with at least CL football every season and be consistent winners of EPL (hopefully) to keep our top players, otherwise they'll be tempted by a Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal and worst Man U move.

we have a gem of a player, a born winner in every way, just love it when he take out his frustration on his teammates just to give them a hit on their backside to do better. even though he misplaced most of his passes, he still got going, ran at defenders and scored a good goal.

Sometimes it worries me when players get mad at their mates.  I've always loved that about Liverpool, very, very rarely do you see anybody playing the blame game.  He gets angry at the refs too often as well and we don't need him getting unnecessary cards that eventually lead to suspensions.

However, that doesn't take away from the incredible player he is.  Been absolutely amazing for us in the 5 games he played.

Stoke- Scored
Wigan- post twice
West Ham- Assist
manure- Assist (Really two but credited for one)
Sunderland- Scored

The best strikers are supposed to score a goal every other game in theory.  Well Suarez creates them as well. He's credited for creating 4 goals in 5 games, but in reality he's created 5 goals in 5 games.  That's incredible.

I think it's good to have a bit of edge between team mates, keeps everyone on their toes I reckon.

We needed someone with a bit of fight in them.  With Suarez and Carroll we've now added two.  It will be a massive plus in away games like today when you need to stand up for yourselves or you'll get walked over.

On the mouthing off to the ref though I completely agree with you, he needs to learn to keep it shut.  So do Lucas and Agger for that matter, they are the worst ones for it in our team.

the incredible work rate of kuyt, suarez and carroll (?) will provide the first line of
defense for the team,
harassment of opposition defense when they get the ball will give them less time to
build from the back.
great goal against sunderland today.

This lad is superior to Torres and if we put him back on the market today we would make a handsome profit already. If Chelsea had the nouse to have bought this kid and not the fella on the slide they would have had a real shot at both the league and Europe. Not to hark on about them but soon as Torres is taken off they look livelier and win the match. Suarez is superb and thankfully his groin problem has at least come during the international period.
