International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

It is reported that Houllier along with Ian Rush will take over the managers post for the Welsh national side. I wish them good luck, and smile as an Englishman.

I agree-I think hes a fine manager and did a great job at Liverpool .He steadied the ship and brought success. In 2001 especially when he had Liverpool Playing Defensive -they were a hell of a hard team to defeat(as i well know)
 But then out came the brats,it wasnt enough and they started demanding attacking pretty football ..when it was obvious they didnt have the players to do so. Houllier came under so much pressure he changed their style and it all went pear shaped. Word of advice-Let the manager do it his way.

yes we have won some trophies, that's good. But look at the last seasons, did it look like a step forward? I belive Diouf when he says Houllier never got the players respect.

You seem to back Houllier in the job he did but then say he didnt have any attacking options to change from his defensive policy?? So who was it up to to bring the players in to do so?? It goes to show you dont really have any idea of the reasons why GH had to go! I can reel off a list of reasons but i have done it all before so i wont bother.
