I actually thought it worked well today, there was more fluency about England, and much more options when going foward, and Beckham wasn't such a liablity when playing the anchor.

I didn't get to see the match but from what I read the changes in the 2nd half seemed to confuse some of the players. To anyone who saw the match how bad was it?

Lampard was shocking , he is so lazy, never attempts to win the ball after he loses it. He was rubbish. SWP looked lively in the 2nd half, can't understand why he got taken off though

I presume Shaun Wright-Phillips must have had an injury when he was taken off because I thought he was playing well.

However in terms of team formation we were a shambles. Half of the team didn't know what they were supposed to be doing half the time. At one point after the substitutions we had the ridiculous situation of Wayne Rooney on the right, Steven Gerrard on the left, with David Beckham, Frank Lampard and Owen Hargreaves in the middle.

And don't even get me started on playing Rooney upfront on his own. What a complete waste.

be honest with you,i hate watching England,when we beat Germany 5-1 in 2001,i thought bloody hell what a manager and team we have here.I have been let down ever since i can wait until sven boring erickson pisses off.I,m watching Brazil now against Chile,Brazil are 4 nil up at the moment and they only kicked off 29 minutes ago........different class

Disgraceful isn't it? How can you boo someone's national anthem? It's blatantly disrespectful and shows a great level of cultural ignorance IMO.
