Lucas has developed into an absolute monster of a player this season and deserves all the plaudits he is getting this season from the fans, he just needs to add a few minor improvements like goals and assists to his game then he wont be far off the likes of Fabregas and Ballack.

Gerrard on the other hand used to be our Roy of the rovers but has now diminished so much that i think he deserves to benched for his lack of form, and terrible attitude. If he showed the heart of Lucas and the passion of Kuyt i think he would be still be a useful player for the team, but he dosn't anymore, so i would personally cash in and let Rafa get two quality players with the money brought in.

Who would you say is more important to the team now, Gerrard or Lucas?

at this present moment before i get slated? aquilani is better than both of them put together. look at the two free kicks at portsmouth loads more dangerous than gerrards!

he's easily as good as fabregas and ballack combined right now. in fact, with just a little bit more development he'll certainly be edging kaka out of the brazil squad. i heard a rumour the other day that barcelona were interested in offering us messi plus cash for him.

gerrard, on the other hand, has dropped below the likes of salif diao in standards and was probably never that much better than him anyway.

No he's not, stop being silly. Lucas is garbage compared to most of the midfielders in the top teams.

Maybe you guys are confusing Gerrard with Lucas. Gerrard is the lanky scouse sulking genius footballer whereas Lucas is the whitest, and least talented, Brazilian I have ever seen.

"Lucas is a monster of player, just needs to develop his goals and asissts", god damn that is the funiest thing I have read on here in ages.  :wwww  :wwww

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Agreed. A caveman league is not for him. He's too delicatessen technically for England.
