I am against renting Falcao for a year to get him healthy for Madrid to then come in and swoop for him.

It has to be a perminent deal or go and get Cavani.

Liverpool are set to return for PSG forward Edinson Cavani if their attempts to sign Radamel Falcao on loan prove fruitless.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers admits he is still looking for a big-name striker to replace Luis Suarez before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

And despite reports Liverpool are keen on Monaco's Falcao, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport insist any approach will be met with strong competition by Serie A giants Juventus, who are also eyeing a loan deal.

But Rodgers is believed to have made Cavani his plan B should he fail to land Falcao, according to German newspaper Bild.

Liverpool were linked with Cavani earlier this summer, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal, but PSG insist they want to keep the Uruguayan at the club.

However, speculation over a transfer won't die down and Bild suggest PSG may be open to letting Cavani leave if it frees up funds to help them land Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria.

City is asking 4 players to leave and find new clubs. Micah Richards is one of them. I know we have Flanagan and manquillo on loan here... But should we consider getting Richards? Unless his motivation is gone now, he was a really good player last time... City really destroyed him...

REVELED OMG   :glare:

Bunch of media bullcrap again. They're only reporting what Marca were reporting who got their information from Barca. Of course they told them they got Suarez for a reduced fee. But who would you rather trust, Liverpool, or Barca, who were recently under investigation for paying 30 million above the fee they reported they paid for Neymar?

Yes the same with them claiming to have paid €25M less for Neymar, until they were caught for dodging tax. It's either they are trying to dodge tax or trying hard to meet the FFP rules again. What a scam of a club...

Liverpool are set to revive their interest in former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o after Juventus moved into pole position for Monaco's Radamel Falcao, but face stiff competition from Tottenham and Everton for the Cameroonian's signature.

Brendan Rodgers is still searching for a new striker after selling Luis Suarez to Barcelona despite signing the likes of Rickie Lambert and Divock Origi.

Queens Park Rangers star Loic Remy came close to joining the Reds before a deal collapsed, leaving Rodgers empty-handed as the end of the transfer window looms.

The ex-Swansea boss has been looking at Colombia international Radamel Falcao, who looks set to leave Monaco on a season-long loan albeit for an astronomical fee believed to be £10million.

However, late interest from Juventus looks set to end Rodgers' dream, and according to reports, the Anfield gaffer is ready to move once again for free agent Eto'o.

The 33-year-old has already rejected an approach from Liverpool, with the former Barcelona star determined to secure a lucrative one-year contract.

Tottenham and Everton have also held talks with Eto'o, but Rodgers is tempted to conclude his hunt by giving in to the forward's demands, allowing him to focus solely on his side's Premier League campaign after securing a hard-fought 2-1 win over Southampton at the weekend.

Ajax have also expressed an interest in signing Eto'o, but it is believed the ex-Anzhi man would prefer to stay in England.

I am with you mate, but depends who we believe (if any), Metro just reported this...

Liverpool are continuing to hold talks with Radamel Falcao's agents over a big money switch to Anfield from French club Monaco.

Falcao is Liverpool's number one transfer target this summer as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to replace the goals lost by Luis Suarez's exit to Barcelona.

And despite already having one bid to land the Colombian striker knocked back, the Daily Mail says the Reds are still hopeful of doing business.

The newspaper says Liverpool remain in touch with Falcao's representatives and are still pushing to do business.

Real Madrid and Juventus are both offering competition to sign the player but they would prefer a loan switch, and must trim down their squads first.

Liverpool have PSG striker Edinson Cavani and former Chelsea man Samuel Eto'o on their list of alternatives if a deal can't be agreed for Falcao.
