Yup Chiesa deserves that spot.

VVD is in his last few years, let's just hope Leoni recovers well so he can benefit those final few with VVD and learn from the best. Would be great experience for him to partner VVD. We definitely have to go for Guehi in Jan, all depends if palace will let him go. Pray VVD stays injury free, I wouldn't want Konate or Gomez leading the back line.

The fitness coaches have done a great job with Chiesa,  he not only looks quick and sharp he's grafting his ar.se off as well, he put a right shift in the other night.

Expected to be out for 12 months.

Awful news for the kid, he’s only just arrived in a new country and looked so bright in his first game.

The club will support him, no doubt VVD will also help with his recovery with some emotional support.

That really tells you the extent of damage and I question whether a player can come back fully from an injury that bad. He’s young and the young recover faster but twelve months is a very long time so major reconstruction is obviously what happened. Hopefully they put a 12 month time frame to take the pressure off his recovery and it takes less time. Normally an acl tear takes 6 months but still takes the player another 6 months to get to speed if ever they do, I’m shocked at the 12 months.

What's the latest on this kid. Is he gone for the whole season?

He’s out until August, apparently.
