Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Have to say that this lad Endo is growing on me.

He works hard, harasses players and breaks up play all over the pitch.

He does pick up a few cards and i dont think hes going to be a world class defensive mid, but he's developing in to a quality squad player.

I agree, he's a very decent squad player. Not a world beater but still a good signing.

At 16m compared to what the other DM were sold for he definitely seems a good signing.

Just when his stabilised himself into the side and performing consistently well, we're going to lose him for bit. Hope he comes back stronger than ever.

Yes, shame he's gone, he was really starting to pull the strings as DM, hopefully he and Mo come back unscathed. Hopefully Sboz gets a bit of a rest with this hammie injury too, he has looked leggy for weeks.

What a shrewd signing thia lad has been.

Thought he bossed the midfield today and made Caicedo look very ordinary.

What a cracking, consistent player he is. If only he was in his mid 20s, sadly he'll only be useful for a few seasons, 32 next year.

I was really impressed with him yesterday and in the past few games. Seems to have oodles of energy and just keeps going.

Almost one year on from my last post on Endo.
Watching him today was unbelievably painful. Every time, passed sideways, backwards, to Kelleher, only once in a blue moon did the ball go forward. A display of complete anti- football if ever I've seen one. Honestly horrible to watch.

Yes he's not a regular CB. But that was a game that could have been the forum for all out attack and a skinful of goals. Plus the opportunity for fringe players to put their best for forward.

Instead, Endo set the pattern for a negative approach right from the back.

Why not give that young lad from the U21s - Amallo ? - an opportunity to play today? I've seen him on some of their games and he looks a right prospect

Think that's a bit harsh on Endo . At approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height He's not and never will be a dominating CB . His preferred position will always be in midfield. Cut the fella some slack.
He did well in this game and in my opinion doesn't get enough credit for his work ethic and application.  :kungfu:
