Been an awful lot of talk about him since the start of the summer. Is he any good? Doesn't seem to get a sniff at Bayern. And I thought he was originally going to cost €20M, so it looks like the b@lls up over other transfers is costing us more now

Not seeing anything concrete in regards to Gravenberch, just loads of speculation that ourselves and Manure are looking to sign him.

Don't think he's the type of character we need if I'm honest. He's had more than enough chances to come here but appears to be using us to either get gametime at Bayern or lure in Ten Haag.

Does he really think he's good enough to make those kind of demands at Bayern and his agent comes across as a right ball bag pimping him out because he's not getting his own way. My fear is if it isn't going right for him he will cause trouble and we don't need that.

Get the Brazillian lad in and walk away from this lad imo.

I read he prefers Castle Grayskull.
Off with him then...

Doucouré of Palace is decent, he’d do a reasonable job in our midfield, he absolutely is not worth anywhere near the quoted price of £70m.

Apart from his size, nothing really stands out about Gravenberch that would make you think he'd make a good DM. Looks very good when he has the ball and is turning and driving forward but he doesn't seem to read the game very well from a defensive point of view. For me he'd be competing with Mac, Dom, Jones, Thiago, and Elliott, for a position either side of the DM. So he'd have the same issue of lack of game time he's having at Bayern.

So it's a no from me on both.

I’m feeling we will get Andre in Jan and Endo will do this window. Glaring issue right now is a proper defender in case VVD or Konate get injured because we would be more screwed if that happens more than not having a defensive midfielder. We found a system around no DM but we would not find a system if we lose a defender.

I'd like us to sign either Andre or Manu Kone. Them 2 are the type of players we need and both are relatively cheap for their skillset. Dacoure is ridiculously overpriced, probably thanks to Chelsea and I don't want us to go anywhere near Kalvin Phillips.

We won the appeal and ban overturned.  Shouldn't of having to appeal it though as the FA should have rescinded it 1st thing Monday morning.

Anyway no 3 game ban!!  :buttrock

If the FA aren’t careful they will lose their cash cow as people turn off from the obvious corruption that is rampant in the FA. premier league used to be about fair competition, now it just seems rigged overseen by Howard Webb who himself has been guilty of many dubious calls when he was a ref. Then they bring an ex ref on sky to justify all these bad calls. The PL is not too big to fail!

Looking at the officiating team for Newcastle I’m sure more drama to come.

Liverpool’s midfield rebuild has been dealt another blow after they reportedly saw a £25.5million bid for Fluminense’s Andre rejected. Jurgen Klopp is desperate to add more quality in the department before the transfer window closes and the Reds have promptly cooled their interest as a result and moved on to alternatives.

The FA I don't think give much of a care tbh as they have no control over the prem league and just get paid to officiate it. Its the premier leagues interpretation of the rules that is the problem and most of all no consistency. Its here to stay as bad as it is.

The prem will suffer no doubt with all the players heading for Saudi. Give them 5 years and it will be right up there with the prem as they will sign all the players. People will watch it for that reason.
Imo the clubs don't care and especially not the big ones as it will pave the way for the super league as they will say the prem is dead and super league is the only way you can compete with the Saudis. This imo is why none of the owners like FSG or the Glazers will sell up because they know what's coming down the road and are already setting up to exploit it.

I hope we haven't moved on or if we did its because we have someone else coming in but the way we flit from target to target I'd so frustrating. If he's the lad we want then make it happen before someone else does and he's worth 80mil next year.

Exactly, I heard Fulham are after him. They’ll keep him a year then sell for 80m as you say.

The message from Fluminense has been clear from the off. They are happy to do a deal for the winter but they don't want to lose him this summer as they are in the quarter finals of the Copa Libertadores (South American equivalent of the Champions League). But he has a release clause of 40m Euros so they won't be able to stop him going this summer if someone pays that.

I think if there was a release clause that is in effect this summer the club would have paid it before Endo, maybe it comes into effect next year. He seems to have a bigger upside than 40m euros which as we’ve seen this summer is not that much. He’s young enough and looks a good player.
