Not sure how bullsh1t this is

According to Brazil Naciòna, Liverpool were informed that Andre’s €30M release clause will expired on the 22nd of August, 2023, but sporting director Jorg Schmadtke was in Disneyland so did not read the text until the following morning. The club are now reluctant to go back in due to Fluminese now wanting €40M.
According to ESPN Brazil, Liverpool are unlikely to return to Andre Trindade in January 2024 if they failed to sign him this summer.

I hear they don't want to let him go while they are in the Copa Libertadores, don't see why we couldn't buy him and loan him back until they're out of it.

It's pathetic to see us doing nothing while other clubs are being so active, and just getting stuff done  :glare:

Chelsea have continued to act as a basket case but outside of that we're not much different to the others.
We've signed 1 player more than City, 1 less than Arsenal although one of theirs is now out for the season, 2 less than Newcastle who have to increase their squad size now they are in Europe, 1 less than Man Utd although one of their signings is Jonny Evans.

But what I think you're really upset about is the lack of red rag ***** rumours. Try the Express or Daily Star.

I wonder whether in reality, we expected Caicedo or Lavia to sign for us. Had we done our homework, we thought we were doing swimmingly well but ended in complete failure.

If we had signed Lavia a few weeks ago as planned and followed it up with Endo everyone would be saying how great our window had gone. It's a fine line between great and below par which is what I'd say our window will be if nothing further happens before the window shuts a week today. I still think we'll sign a midfielder who can play as both a 6 and a 8.

Salah rumours are back, they really want him. Do we sell for 100m? We’ll never get the chance again and the owners have proved they reinvest sales money back into the squad. We would have a lot to reinvest and build a team that can compete for 5-7 years. It’s late in the window I know, but do we have enough without him? My gut tells me he will be less than he has in any years with us and if he is going to sulk, then even worse. He’s being offered close to 200m per year. I think we need to make grown up decisions.

Doesn't make much sense to sell him now and my guess is he doesn't want to go this season despite what no doubt has been very strong interest over the past year. Next summer might be a very different story though. He'll be 32 with a year left on a 400k a week contract that we're very unlikely to give him an improvement on.

It’s about whether he sulks this season, he’s losing out on alot of money. I’d rather sell and rebuild than have an unhappy superstar. He is offered ten times his salary and that is tax free. I cannot see how he would want to stay.

We would have got 160m from sales and that will get you a very good player if not three. I think we don’t sell him and we regret it, crazy as that sounds.

Ideally, we'll sell him next summer for a lot of money. Now it's probably too late, we'll never find a proper replacement in time.

Do we need a proper replacement? Jota, Nunez, Diaz, Gapko plus youngsters. A transition season...

I've always said it's much more likely he leaves next summer.

Mo wouldn't dump us in the mire one week before the window closes.
