Uefa Cup 2001 against Alaves in Dortmund ?

That jersey though looks like the one Brugge wore in 77. Thought it was that game but can't remember Wembley looking like that and no one had a big screen like that in the 70's

We won on a golden goal and it would have been May.

I was only 5 back then  so given they are playing in white and the stadium is Oval with no track I'd say its the 81 European Cup Final in Paris versus Real ?.  Can't remember the score but think it was 2.1 ?.

1981 European Cup Final, LFC1 Real Madrid 0, Barney Rubble. The keepers kit, green, black shorts and white socks helped decide it.

What a team, look how slim, fit and alert Ray Kennedy is.

I couldn’t get a ticket for that game but my arl fella did, he went with a few fella’s from his work, he was right at the front of the top tier and he said when our fans started singing and dancing the cantilevered part of the top stand started to move like *****.
He worked in the building game all his life and knew buildings (particularly bridges, skyscrapers etc) do move but he said this was a lot, he actually left his seat and watched the game from the back of the Parc de Princes. He said his original seat was in a great spec as well but there was no way he was sitting there for 90 minutes.

You are correct, I dont know how I remember it so wrong. I guess we can put it down to age, a lot of  parties and too many headed balls. Actually my Uncle is a Orient supporter and took me a couple of times when I was young so I even probably watched him live.

 4 francs was about 40p

So that means you paid £4 for a European final ticket and you got ripped off .... those were certainly the days

Yeah that doesn't sound right....I will have to find my box of ticket stubs....I know I paid 10 times the face value and I was a little inebriated at the time so that didn't help with my battering tactics .
