Didn't appear on many pictures because I was always the taker, but I did trust a Japanese tourist to snap this moment in time...

Nice pic.
I remember the game itself was awful, Madrid were surprisingly physical, I grew up on stories of Puskas and Di Stefano etc and was expecting Madrid to play like the Brazilian 1970 WC team, don’t forget back then there was no internet or cable telly and you were lucky to see an English game on the telly never mind a Spanish one.
We got the right result though which was the main thing.

Football's changed forever unfortunately..... I was offered 8,000 quid for my CL final ticket in Madrid last year. Like a soft lad I said no... should've taken the money and run.

That Barnes travel on County Road used to organise a lot of coaches for away trips etc. I think it’s still there.

Oh, this one looks easy, my time to shine. 2001 UEFA Cup final again, only post match?

Edit: actually on second look it looks more like the League Cup, the long sleeves and all. I don't know :(

2001 league cup final in the millennium stadium, the opposition was Birmingham and we won on peno's. Would have been late February and pretty sure it was called the Worthington cup at the time.

What game is it ? This is a tough one but its a good nut to crack;
This game the cup was paraded around the ground before kick off. You may need to research a bit  for the answer but I will take my hat off if you come up with the opposition , the date and the score.... big salute if you throw in the scorers

Besides the trophy being paraded before kick off, what else was unusual about this match and why ….?
