I learned 2 things yesterday:
1. That Coutinho paid 11.5 million of his own money to make up the Liverpool valuation.
2. That Couts was determined to leave now in case he either got injured during the rest of the season or Barcelona bought someone else.
Under those circumstances it wasn't the club cashing in but a player determined to leave.
Now, this doesn't happen at Citeh, Chelsea or United because the clubs are established EPL winners and CL winners/contenders.
Liverpool are neither so our players do have dreams of moving to 'bigger clubs'. LFC is not their final move or ultimate club.
If RM come in for Salah in 12 months, we have a problem. Similarly if Bayern Munich come knocking on Mane's door.
What Liverpool have got to do now is NOT panic, but spend the money wisely and bring in a BIG name to replace Couts. If we can do that then we demonstrate our determination to push into the european top echelons and become equal status with RM, Chelsea, PSG in terms of credibility.
Don't waste the money FFS on another Carrol or Balotelli. We paid 32 million for Benteke, right? Take your freakin' time and get the right players.
By the way, anyone who thinks we didn't buy Keita as replacement for Coutinho is deluding themselves.

I feel attacking wise we still will be good but not as eloquent as we are when Coutinho played. We will struggle at times but remember we have Salah.
Its not all doom and gloom we still have good players here.
If we can get Keita in early i would be chuffed.
To me it's more the signals the club are sending out by selling our best player and not bending over backwards trying to replace him. It's not the actions of a club desperate to win things imo.

Yes...like the strong signals we sent out when we bought Andy Fucking Carroll for £35M to replace Torres and that POS Balotelli to replace Suarez
