They could keep him! 70 mill :D football has become a complete joke.
In a few years 100+mill will be the asking prices for "top" players.
Whereas average pricing for others will be 50-80 mill.
Players like Moreno will be 30 mill easy.
Well who cares not like we open our pockets and pay for fees.

Just pointing out something super obvious.

In that YouTube clip that RBG posted on Salah you have a left footed winger playing mostly on the right. Not sure why Roma actually do this? It's very awkward watching.

This means he is either crossing it with the outside of his left foot or cutting thru when he gets to the by line. I guess you can get away with that in Seria A but in the EPL most of this woud be nullified by better fullbacks. I'm assuming that if we did buy him, we would play him on the left and the right side.

I'm just hoping he doesn't flop again if we get him.

I rate Salah but we just need to get the deal done, in terms of Vardy well why the hell not hes a better player than all our forwards bar Mane imo and this is why I why I get frustrated with the business side against building a better side.

Vardy would crawl to Anfield and short term be a massive asset, we could ofcourse buy an 18 year old who does nothing for 2 years and sold after 3 following a loan, our standard employee.

Moneyball has its merits but sometimes a short term expensive deal is also a fantastic piece of business.

Klopp has said we’re likely to see more of Coutinho in the middle which would leave Mane and Salah to play in the wide areas, with them both being able to play on either side. We would be deadly on the counter. But who drops out for Keita when everyone is fit and on form?

               Mignolet

Clyne   Matip   Lovren   Milner

              Henderson
        Lallana     Coutinho

         Mane         Salah
                Firmino

That midfield is too soft in my opinion.

Yep, no way does Jurgen play both Lallana and Coutinho in central midfield. It will probably be a straight fight between Lallana and Salah for a place in the starting XI and given how central Lallana was to our pressing game I don't think it's a given Salah will be the one chosen. There's a decent chance he won't hit the ground running. As I said £35m on a potential squad player.

nice highlights... i kinda like him... he has a feather touch. despite running at full speed, he can touch the ball without it running away from him. We need a goid finisher though because he's not a finisher. At Roma, his moves have been finished by their number 9, Edin Dzeko.

The idea of having a left footer playing at RW and vice versa is so that teams who usually play with 1 up top carry an extra threat with the wingers cutting inside on to their natural stance which opens up opportunities. Most cannot cross the ball with their bad foot and if they get to the byline then they have gone too far and end up having to come back on themselves. This can be alleviated by having the full backs overlapping which then will provide the crosses or cutting through.

If salah does sign then his pace alone will improve the team as we should be able to break quicker and with Mane on the opposite wing it will carry a real threat if we use that pace rather than focus on just retaining possession.
The side needs to have better depth and balance and while salah might turn out to be an expensive signing he will at least add to that which I am happy about. They just need to get this over the line before they do their usual and lose him.

It does puzzle me though as to why we are going back in for him and willing to pay almost 4 times the price we wouldn't pay 3 years ago.

Keita Balde from Lazio popped up last few days, basically we are after anyone called Keita that can kick a ball.

Another attacking player in the Mane, Salah mould so its more attacking players linked and Van Dyk apart no defenders.

Apparently, City has beaten us and Chelsea to Virgil Van Dijk and the quoted transfer fee is 60 million. Honestly speaking, for 60 million pounds, you can have him City  :D .

We can definitely find good defenders in the region of 30 million. We just need to buy Southampton's scouting department as some have said

When even petro dollar clubs like Chelsea start balking at the price then you know it's time to walk away.

Yep, sounds like Van Dijk is off to City. £60m and 200k a week in wages. Not too fussed about this one to be honest. I think he is decent, but just not as good as he is being made out to be
