Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

He was crying to leave Liverpool in the summer and even in pre season games you could see he was very Torres like and looked unhappy. But I'd love to know what Brendan said to him that made him turn 180 degrees and is now back to his usual smiling, cheerful self and playing his heart out for Liverpool again. I suspect BR told him to give Liverpool another year and if he still wants to leave with or without CL for Liverpool, he won't stand in his way.

I'm thinking it's not so much what Brendan said but more what his agent said.

i.e. "Not too many offers on the table that Liverpool would even consider. You need to get your head down, play your football and stay out of "negative headlines"

It's something that the fella has done, so far.

I'm just hoping that we can qualify for CL footy next season and Suarez is tempted too stay with us as much as we've stayed with him.

Totally agree. I made a very similar point earlier in the thread. At the end of the day it is business and even the his agents brother took no interest in what was going on.

How good a player this lad actually is.

I can't even bring myself to cheer or applaud him anymore or even talk about him.

The only thing I can do is laugh... He's quite literally beyond belief!!!

Those goals against West Brom the other week were works of art in football form. Anyone who questions the existance of magic really needs to watch this lad play.

That was possibly the best individual performance I have seen in a long time. In fact, it may be the best I have seen ever.

If he had the name Messi on his back, a video of that performance would be posted on every internet forum around the world.

Simply breath-taking.

I've seen better from Owen and Gerrard as far as individual performances go. Its just Luis produces more of them.

However, I've not seen more skill and more imagination. The lad is simply a stunning footballer. Easily the third best player in the world at present. I can't even begin to find the words to describe how good he is, the only words I can think of all have a similar meaning to the word shock rather than the usual Sh*t like sensational, outstanding, world class etc which... to be quite honest, do not do him justice in the slightest.

The lad is a pure and utter, top class, insanely brilliant, wonderful magician of a player.

Truely, truely special. If he carries on like this he could well find himself fighting it out with Messi and Ronaldo for the best player in the world. Lost for words! :bowdown  :bowdown  :bowdown  :bowdown

Will stick my neck out and say that this guy is a better player than Dalglish was and I'm old enough to have watched Dagger regularly.

Wont achieve what Dalglish did in those brilliant teams but individually he's a better footballer and possibly the best we have ever had.

I think that's why hes so good. He does produce more of them.

When he said he wanted to leave for Arsenal, I hated him, I felt betrayed as a supporter. There I am defending a grown adult like one of my kids, and he lets me down massively. But what he done has for this club since has been nothing but, well, sensational.

He has not sulked, he has not sat back and seen his backside (Rooney), he has got on with his job, and for that all I think now is, we need CL football otherwise we will lose players like this.

Dalglish great strengths were not individual skills nor scoring goals. Yes he did score over 100 goals but not as consistent or prolific as Fowler and Rush. His strength was his intelligent play and finding the killer passes to fellow team mates to score. That was his trade mark IMO. And of course he went on to become one of our most successful managers.

was shocked and disappointed that he didn't take the first free for whatever reason.  Don't know why Coutinho was allowed.
Could have had 5  :D

Greatest performance I've ever seen from a player in  a liverpool shirt!

The goals he scored last night where ridiculous.

First one a from about 40 yards was outstanding.
The second one was behind him and finished with his left foot.
The third one for me the best of the lot, lifted over the head of a Norwich player and then from the edge of the box on the half volley smashed into the corner.
The last one an absolutely world class free kick.
He then topsit off with an assist for Sterling in the last minute.

It is honestly the best performance I have seen from a Liverpool player.

We have seen Owen score 4 in the past but the goals where not of that quality.
I was stood in the Kop laughing when the third one went in.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer
