It's a one on one situation where the keeper has to cover as much as the goal as possible - Pepe is trying to cover across his goal ( the obvious shot ) and Rameries goes near post catching him off balance - if he saves its a great save but if he doesn't its a great finish and it was a powerful finish - certainly not something you can blame Pepe for and state that he cost us the FA Cup because of it - you can blame the guys in front of him that gifted him the chance.

The Drogba one he had no chance on.

The Ramirez one was poor. He got his positioning and angles wrong, he never had the near post covered properly and initially went the wrong way to anticipate the save across goal, which left him stranded.

Mind you Enrique didn't do him any favours though, but it still was a poor attempt at saving it.

But to blame Pepe for us losing the FA Cup !! Sorry Ben I don't think I have ever heard anyone blame Pepe for us not winning.

Is this going to happen all season ? Every time Mignolet saves a shot - "Pepe wouldn't have saved that" is then typed.
