12 months ago you were calling GJ a donkey and an Amatuer so it's safe to say some will just never rate him.

The reasons why we conceeded more last season isn't because of GJ it's because of the system we employed and the lack of physical presence in the middle.

GJ is a solid defender who has proven that on many occasions , but to start accusing him of being "not too bright" is wrong

I thought Glen's first 2 years were pretty promising but I just can't accept his approach to the game any longer. If he was a talentless donkey then Alas that's that ,however Glen is a on paper a talented player ,fast and skillful...But does he bring it day in day out? Hell no. He is a spoiled little wnker which has more downs then ups and I doubt his commitment to the team. If to his questionable character you bring all the other negative's I already mentioned then why do we bother any longer? See Enriques approach to the game ,his defensive understanding and commitment to WIN every battle ,and his much less talented then Glen but what ever he lacks in speed and fineness he returns in ruthless play ,puts his body before the player fights to the end of play...With Glen forget about it.

I really think you guys are obsessed over his cracking goals every other month and his one in ten unstoppable run into the box. But it's way too

Do you read what youre posting about GJ ?

Has he harmed you personally in the past ? First you call him a donkey, then an amatuer - now you say he is talented but a selfish W*nk*r ( not sure how you can jusfiy that ) and no commitment to the team ?!

Can you post some examples to back up your claims - some highlights that show the point you are trying to make about him ? Maybe some stats that show the goals coming from Glens area of the park as opposed to the "wonderful" Enrique

I am starting to think that Toure is Rodgers' plan for fixing our CB problem, and that doesn't exactly excite me.

agree.
our fullbacks are decent enough and no way is toure signing for us to play second fiddle.  rodgers has said he wants his business done early and imo he has got his main targets.
still loads to go yet but i feel nothing major will happen until we have a few exits and that will more than likely be in the last few weeks.
i just hope that we aim the bar a little higher than we have been when signing replacements

it said in the sunday people that united have agreed in principle to sign thiago and arsenal have done the same with higuain, it even had a quote from higuains arl fella saying he`s looking forward to watching his lad play in the prem.
it doesnt look like arsenal are planning on stopping there either.
we need to bring in some quality players ourselves, our better players must look at who`s coming in (compared to our rivals) and think to themselves this club lacks ambition.
someone mentioned in another thread that if we signed one or two decent names then that might convince suarez to give us at least another season, i agree, the way we are going about our business at the moment probably just reinforces in suarez`s mind that he`s better off elsewhere, he`s probably thinking why waste my prime years at a club thats planning for success in the future not the present.

Mancs are also getting Garay from Benfica and City are getting Pepe from Madrid.

The teams above are strengthening and even teams around us getting some good players in

And yes I mentioned that if we bought a couple of quality players that might make Suarez have a little think

If you believe all the reports we'd have a squad 50 players full.

I bet anything Pepe doesnt end up at City

Seems good business for that price.  If it were us, we'd probably have had to fork out 20 for him, and I'd question it. He scores a ridiculous amount of goals, but I've never really been very impressed when I watch him play.  He doesn't really look, move, or play like a good footballer, he just scores goals like a mad man.  In the Darren Bent mold a bit I suppose.

Swansea mean business this summer tho.

He does seem a pure goalscorer - someone who gets on the end of things.

city have already spent £50m on that fernandinho and jesus navas. thats a team that finished 17 points above us last season splashing out £50m on 2 quality starting XI type players. how many of our 5 signings so far (mingolet, alberto, aspas, toure, dhanda) would you say are nailed on, cast iron starters?
we`ve spent £23m and i`d argue that our starting XI hasnt improved much (if at all)
we frittered away near £30m last summer, i hope the same doesnt happen again.

Can you explain to me (as we've often been reminded by a certain poster) how we're supposed to attract all these marquee signings when we finish 7th in the league without CL football?

It seems people want it both ways, bemoaning how we can't attract such players then in the next breath whinging when we're not buying them. Some people need to wake up.

Attract them by offering decent wages.

Spurs managed together Paulinho without CL footy also possibly adding Diamo as well , City in the past managed to get top players without CL footy.

We can get players like Wanyama or Pappadolus -two players that would add quality to the first team, players like Bony, Alderweirld , Van Wolfswinkel are quality players that we could have got/ could get. Even players like Eriksen - the players are there - just need to pay the money for them

Your entire argument this year has been about the fact we can't offer said players CL football, now you're moving the goal posts.

You know full well our club isn't on the same financial footing as the likes of Citeh, as when it suits you you're quick to remind us of this but now you want us to spend like them.

And maybe Rodgers and co don't see the potential in some signings as you and all the other critical arm chair fans do.
