Its not an excuse or justification. Its just putting things in perspective.
The media attention this gets is a joke.

If the defoe situation was properly dealt with by the ref then please give suarez a yellow card.

Luis you really are a daft crazy tw.at !!! Once was stupid. Twice suggests you really are close to barking mad. What the fk were you thinking. Ok you obviously weren't thinking !!

At least the Hillsborough fund and this forum which is usually dead have benefitted from the Luis Suarez nutty as a fruitcake foundation.

It's great to see all the whingers out in force. Where the fk have you all been  :help

it's a crazy world when this incident gets more attention on sky news than what's happening in syria. absolutely ludicrous.

Right and that was just a yellow card. If it was so bad people would have been up in arms after saying he should have got more. So just give him a retrospective yellow card. Same type incident no?

Just because the ref gave Defoe a yellow card doesn't mean it was dealt with correctly but because the red acted on the pitch the FA couldn't do anything - surely you must realise their random rules by now.

There is nothing to put into perspective at all - it is exactly how it is - Suarez has once again decided to bite a fellow professional - it's a stupid brainless act and has given the press the perfect opportunity to boost the headlines.

As I said many times - if you don't give the press anything to say then they will struggle - Suarez makes it easy for them and its time for him to stop - it was actually time for him to stop years ago after the first incident. Anymore from him and it would be time to sell up and move on.

So when Defoe did it you agreed with the ref that a yellow was correct ?

Open eyes here - he has bit another player - he will rightly get a lengthy ban.

given the inconsistent nature of the FA it could be anything from a 4-12 game ban. i'm guessing it'll be about 8.

Defoe was a one off in fairness but as much as we love Suarez this is his third serious
offence and at this point apologise are worthless from him unfortunately.

My main concern is the reputation of the club but for some reason it does not seem to
be a priority a lot our fans these days.

I hear people talking about what Ferguson did with Cantona and Keane but that is what
you would expect from United and not from Liverpool who historically have morality
and fair play at the core of the club, and regrettably Suarez has damaged that and taken
a lot of fans with him.

The FA has charged Liverpool forward Luis Suarez with violent conduct. They say 3 matches in this case is "clearly insufficient". The hearing is on Wednesday.

Should have broke his leg with a studs up high challenge instead to get just the 3 matches.

Yes that's exactly what we want to see - broken legs with studs up challenges

hopefully they will do something similar to the dutch and give him a seven match ban but knowing the F.A and their obvious dislike for luis they will cite his previous and hand him a cantona style ban of 6 - 8 months
imo 5 - 7 games would be more than enough given that there was no injury to ivanovich

i'm not condoning breaking legs. i'm just trying to understand the FA's justification when it comes to dishing out bans. calling someone a "black c*nt" is 4 games, kicking a ballboy is 4 games, fellaini headbutt the other week gets 3 games (that could potentially give another player brain damage), aguero gets nothing, mcmanaman nothing, merely due to the shocking rules which the FA hide behind.

suarez deserves a long ban. i think we're looking at 6-8 games.

dont understand why the F.A's governance committee isnt dealing with this instead of an independent panel.
i thought once he has admitted the offence and pleads guilty then the ruling would be held by the governance panel.
