Saw it on twitter but I normally take anything from there with a pinch of salt but the odds seem to be dropping on Spurs and reckon Levy trolls the old gossip pages looking at who we are interested in :D

i hope this game of brinkmanship that fsg are playing doesnt end up with us having egg on our faces again like what happened with clint dempsey.
deloitte has us down as the 9th biggest earning club on the planet with a turnover of near £200m and we are haggling over £1.5m?     £10m for someone like coutinho isnt a ridiculous amount of money, i know the club got their fingers burnt with carroll but that doesnt mean they have to go too far the other way.
i`ve always been against having a DoF but i`m starting to come round to the idea that we need a sensible and experienced decision maker in there to run the football side of the business.
at the moment we are a club of extreme`s, one minute we are throwing money around like a drunken sailor and the next we are like ebenezer scrooge, i`m sure there`s a happy medium in there somewhere

Couthino looking almost over the line and Ince back on the agenda so another
one may be in there.

Fazio from Sevilla heavily linked as well and if he arrives Coates leaves.

If we can end up with Sturridge, Couthino and Ince this month its good work from
the club so fingers crossed.

ill second that.
sturridge, ince and coutinho would have been a great piece of business in a single transfer window.

Looks like deal done. 8.2 mill with additional 1.7 mill if/when he gets 20 games for us. 40k per week in wages. Club already working on getting him a work permit and the medical apparently to be scheduled for Monday.

BBC:

BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS
Liverpool have agreed an £8.5m deal for Inter Milan's Brazilian midfielder, Philipe Coutinho. The 20-year-old is expected to travel to Merseyside early next week for a medical and Liverpool will need to apply for a work permit before the deal can be completed.

Its all but bit confirmed now. Coutinho to have medical on Monday and join the squad from early next week!  :buttrock

I am actually really excited about this signing, I don't really care what they naysayers think. Well done Mr Dodgers, well done!

He is a small risk we are taking at 8.5 million but this young Brazilian playmaker is EXACTLY what we are crying out for.

If he turns out to be half as good as the likes of Kaka or Ronaldinho we will be f**king laughing our socks off at the transfer fee at years to come.

I'm pretty excited about this signing ,If and when ,but I doubt Coutinho is play maker...If I remember he is a winger-striker kinda of player.
