Watching the Newcastle game right now and they look like a new side with their new signings (Debuchy, Sissoko, and Goufrann) impressing. Cabaye just scored a screamer. For the life of me, I do not understand why we persist with young, British over-priced talent when there is a wealth of talented, cheaper players in the French, Spanish, Dutch, and German leagues (not to mention South America and Africa). Sissoko especially was bought for 2.5m pounds and looks like a fantastic signing! Where is our scouting network? Most of the signings so far have been things fans could have predicted. Coutinho looks like a step in the right direction.

Liverpool don't do 'cheap' players. if we went to France or Spain we'd blow 15 million a piece and they'd still be cr@p.

Still no announcement on the alleged Ince 'done deal'?

I think Coutinho will be it to be honest.

If we did sign Ince we'd be very top heavy with forwards in the squad, so him coming makes no sense, for the player or the club. He wouldn't get the game time.

We have -

Sterling
Suarez
Sturridge
Downing
Borini
Suso
Assaidi
Coutinho

Add Ince to that and we'll be playing a 1-1-9 formation.

I'd rather see us sign a DM to be honest, but there is no sign of any such interest.

Suso will probably go out on loan i suspect. The reason why he isnt in todays squad. Assaidi is a strange one as he really hasnt played many minutes for us especially in the league and could also depart .

Its all about cover to be honest Sterling played alot of minutes as we never had the cover and now the likes of Coutinho is coming in despite him being young he is still very experienced.

Ince will most probably stay with blackpool for the rest of the season on loan when he comes in similar deal to Wilfred Zaha from palce to Utd.

First I've heard. What's the source?

Couldn't see that one happening in a million years if he's the player I'm thinking of. Good player but quite similar to Coutinho is he not?

I think our business might be done except I have a feeling we probably have a centre back lined up in case someone makes a loan offer for Coates. I also think Butland and Ince are on our long term radar mayber for the summer, but if things start to move in terms of transfers for either of them we might get involved now I'm guessing.

We've spent 20 million, got a decent goalscorer and a 20 year old playmaker off Inter Milan who's been capped for Brazil. If the window closed now I'd be happy with our lot. Deadline day always brings surprises though...

Muniain was valued by Bilbao at 30 million or something stupid last season when big clubs were circling. No chance.

So LFC1990 you still maintain Ince is signing and a 'done deal'? I assume that's today?
