the fact that they are even considering him proves that they know fook all.
he is a yes man that will fit into there new structure for a couple of years and try to build something in the process and then in a couple of years when we have a stadium and extra revenue then he will be replaced with someone else to finish the job.
they are only bothered about this club following the money to the cl and if league performances are the precedent that they have set then i cant see why they think this man is right for the job.
Sorry but on what basis are you claiming that Martinez is a yes man. I agree he is inexperienced and he isn't my no1 choice but I don't understand the need to slag him off. He's done a very good job at Wigan and have them playing very well, certiainly towards the end of the season.
Also why do you think FSG want a yes man, I'm not aware of any major arguments between FSG and kenny, although they would have been more than entitled to after the ***** up that was the Suarez affair.
no one is slagging him off or calling him names or slandering the lad, just merely pointing out that he isnt good enough at this time to take this job and because of his inexperience he shouldnt even be considered.
im implying he is a yes man because of his manner as he dosent strike me as a guy who will let fly when things arent going so good or indeed go head to head with a dof or the owners if he has to.he's a guy that will sit down with the players after a hammering and tell them we were unlucky and we will try to do better next time, not put the fear of god into them.if he had a bit of fire in the old belly then maybe his team wouldnt have been constantly fighting relegation every year.
if he had them playing well then how is it that they almost got relegated then? and not for the first time either.
dont try and tell me that small clubs like swansea or norwich have vastly more experienced teams built on bigger budgets and yet they played well all season and fully deserved the positions they finished in.
they have managers with a bit o fire in the old belly and get the best out of the players they have.martinez got the best out of his players in the last 7 games or so but wtf was he at with them for the rest of the season.
if fsg want 2 dof's and the new manager to be more like a head coach who works with the players that he is given by the dof then its a yes man they want.not a manager like capello, benitez, mourinho, van gaal or a hiddink who will want more control and money and will go head to head to get it.
the pressure on a manager and players at a club like wigan is miniscule compared to what its like at liverpool and it could well damage the man if he was to take this job and couldnt deliver and it could very well rule him out of the big jobs in future.
he should go to a club like villa who will have a better set up to work with and then he might earn the right for a chance to manage a big club,a couple of years staving off relegation by the skin of your teeth hardly qualifies you to manage liverpool.
